Hard to beat the '74. Third rates were, in many ways, the best combination of firepower, seaworthiness and durability.
Yes, 1st rate ships get the big headlines but the raw weight of iron they carried means they wallowed and tended to warp in service, even beyond the fact that they were tremendously expensive.
Frigates could only outfight them in weather heavy enough to force them to keep the lower gunports closed, but in anything short of heavy seas a third rate could hammer them into kindling.

When I was a kid, I hat Revell's pirate ship. Back then it was all black with night glow paint. Pretty funny they now sell it as a "regular" ship too.
I still dig the hull style. I spent so many nights and imagined how it would be to live on that ship in the 16th century, sail the caribbean, being a pirate.
