Ok /k/. What is, at this very moment in time, the absolute BEST gun for innawoods? Durability, power, availability of ammo all come into play here.
>>
An AK in 7.62x39.
>>
vz58, cheaper than an ak, can load from stripper clips.
>>
>>32147062
INSAS cheap and reliable
>>
>>32147062
AK in 5.56. You get the reliability, accuracy, and durability of an AK with locally produced ammo (both .223 and 5.56).
>>
>>32147062
Forgot to mention the price too
Cheap as possible as well
>>
>>32147119
So a galil?
>>
>>32147139
No, SLR106.
>>
>>32147110

7.62 or 5.56?
>>
AK or AR depending on user's preference.

Actually going in the woods, I want the AK because 7.62 cuts through brush better.

Would a Russian SKS work? Am poorfag and it's AK I have right now. How well does steel cased Tula work in humidity, heat, cold and such?
>>
>>32147204
*All I have right now
I wish I had an AK :(
>>
>>32147204
I prefer GT but Tula is a good cheap round that just werks. Careful of the unsealed primer in humid areas, though.

SKS is a nice innawoods gun, just not as much as they were 8 years ago. That said, no regrets buying the CF Yugo for $420 or so. SKS will not let you down.
>>
>>32147300
I'm hesitant to get a Yugo for innawoods because of the
>No chrome
meme.
Would it rust easily in the woods in the rain and weather?
>>
I like .223, very versatile
>>
>>32147342
Just don't shoot corrosive out of it and you'll be fine.
>>
>>32147119
>all
>accurate
>>
>>32147174
7.62
>>32147204
sks is fine
