How much does your AR weigh, and are you content with its current body image or think it could stand to gain or lose a few ounces or pounds?
AR build #1 - 8.9lbs. Huge scope. Once I put my UBR on, probably close to 10lbs.
AR build #2 - 8.0lbs. Another rather large scope.
AR build #3 - 6.7lbs. Basic 16" carbine with irons and drop-in handguard.
I don't care about weight because I'm not a wannabee tacticool faggot who thinks they are an operator.

>I don't care about weight
Because you never shoot your guns
About 10 lbs
no t-2 yet, but mine is like 7.1ish
the sopmods are kinda heavy, and I have a 15 inch rail
>>32142892
Probably put 500 rounds a month through the three AR'S in the non-summer months here in Phoenix. Summer months, significantly less. So before you jump to conclusions about something you have zero clue about, why not keep your cocksucker shut.
>>32143035
6.8 lb ar
1.2 lb suppressor
1.7 lb optic
9.7 lb total
>>32143080
No, just a bunch of immature millennials in this thread.
>>32143142
Correction, nu males.
12lb 223 ar15, thick barrel with 17" hand guard, 1+lb scope. its for bench shooting but I did go hunting with it this year and didn't mind the weight over my 2-5lb .270 I usually take.
got a 5.5lb 300aac ar15 also, tiny holo sight, 7" barrel with 5" hand guard. will be under 5lb after i get my new lower on it.
13 lbs
7 lbs
6.5 lbs
even if its double the weight its still manageable the only issue is balance. the 13 lb gun feels like a 22lr when you shoot it.
>>32141749
barebones AR is best AR
Trying for a sub 5 lbs. build.
Is a regular bathroom scale accurate enough?
>>32145544
more accurate if you weigh it with you then minus your weight from that. most bathroom scales don't work well under 50lbs.
kitchen scale would be better.
>>32145510
I know, but I'm kind of pushing the limits on my bathroom scale already.

>>32145668

>>32141749
M16 weights about 7 lbs. Carry a fucking M249 then we will talk.
>>32143309
>nu males
this is the new "fudd". Anybody you don't like just call him a "nu male".
Shut up, faggot.
>>32147803
Fuck off pussy
>>32143035
thats not even a full combat load per weapon, scrub.
>>32145695
No, those are made that way. It's woven carbon fibre. I think it's supposed to be the lightest available.
I'd like to have a really lightweight pencil barrel build at some point. Really minimal, kept in my trunk. A 6920 sits in there now, but I've always wanted a super barebones 14.5 pencil barrel build.
8.4 loaded including sling/optic/light etc.
I would like to replace my BA 16" government profile with a lightweight 14.5
>>32145544
where is the trigger?
>>32150711
I shoot for fun because I'm not a make believe "operator" like you probably are new friend.
>>32150857
Triggers weigh too much
>>32150886
i see
>>32142887
You don't care about weight because you're a fucking fatboy who likes to collect shiny shit without knowing how to use it, like a fucking gook in his ricer Honda
Im pretty proud of this one
>>32141749
My M16 A2 clone, 7.96Lbs with an empty usgi Mag
my brothers Tacticool AR is 9.22lbs cuz the full auto FN barrel
>>32150803
It could use some foil or something on the underside to reflect heat away from your hand.
>>32151023
Looks nice. The muzzle device could probably be lighter.
>>32141749
did you just assign a common designation to my extremely unique 5.56x45 semi automatic, shoulder fired weapon platform? in 2016?
>>32153446
Yea it definitely can, but I got that beefy guy since its renowned for recoil reduction. Supposedly up to 75%.
>>32150997
Clueless, clueless typical millennial faggot who knows shit about weapons other than what he reads from other clueless faggots on an anonymous message board. Quite possibly a noguns. Do everyone a favor and kill yourself.
>>32150997
>fat boy
not fat - 5'10" 175lbs
>shiny things
I like matte finishes
>gook
nope, I'm a white American
>rice
I don't eat rice
>Honda Civic
I currently own and have only ever owned American vehicles
>>32141749
Around 4kg loaded, with optics I assume.
>>32151023
>4.886kg
Looks a lot lighter than that. Is it made out of tungsten?
4.5 pounds.
>>32143035
>non summer months in Phoenix
You mean when its paradise on earth here? You cunty fuck bitch, get out and shoot when its 115.
>>32142892
Anyone that cares how much their AR has to weigh is an idiot. It's an AR, not a 240 it's weight is a godsend. And if you think a rifle is to heavy go do some pullups
>>32145544
Where do you get that handgaurd?
>>32145544
Looks like a ton of jewstars.
>>32155594
Yeah OK new friend. KYS.
>>32145544
What stock is that? What Grip?? and how does everyone like the Lancer mags? I just got an AR and a pack of PMAGs but then read how good Lancers are on ar15.com.
Also, that front iron, is that better than a rail with front/rear magpull sights?
I'm new. Please help me /k/
I have an Aero Precision rifle with No furniture. I need to set it up.
>>32158036
pmags are fine, if not better than lancers. iron sights are preference; that one is a KAC 'stolen valor' 600m sight with a clamp on A2 FSB. magpul mbus or mbus-pro are fine as well.
>>32141749
Build 1, HEAVY AS FUCK- ubr stock, billet axts adacs lower, full length steel m lok rail.
build 2 light as fuck- titanium pins, battlearms light weight lower, earoprecision cop upper, faxon arms pencil barrel
what their actial weights are, i've got no idea.
I have a 8.5lbs ar and I'm working on a super cheap sub 6lbs "loaner rifle" that is mostly random cheap parts. pic related
M16A2 clone - 8.8lbs loaded w/ buttstock cleaning kit & sling
About 8.4 lbs unloaded at the moment. Middy 16" carbine, gov't profile barrel, Surefire G2X in an HSP Thorntail hanging off the front on a DD Omega 9.0. Aimpoint H-1 on top.
I've got a new rail and gas block on the way that I think are going to help a fair bit in the weight department. After that I'm swapping the stock for a B5 Bravo instead of the ACS-L, then changing the light to an Arisaka 300 series to trim off more weight. It *should* bring the whole thing down to about 7.8 lbs or so unloaded, but Gunstruction likes to lie on occasion about weights so who knows. As long as it's less front-heavy I'll be happy.
About 7 pounds 5 ounces, 16" mid build, some gucci lightweight shit, medium contour BA Hanson barrel and A5 buffer system. It shoots really smoothly.
