Bought an Ar15 on Black Friday. Looking for a scope and came accross this on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/UUQ-C4-12X50-Illuminated-Tactical-Holographic/dp/B01LCRXREU/ref=pd_sbs_200_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=FE6TXZSDQXFJ9A7EBSSK
It looks cool, and has all sorts of good uses in my opinion. Please let me know if this is a decent setup/brand Etc.

Absolute garbage. Don't even bother.

>$139.99
no idiot
if it seems too good to be true it is
>>32139876
How so? Similar items from the same brand are HIGHLY recommended, and plenty of 5 stars
>>32139857
Never touch anything from Amazon that isn't itself from a reputable brand and seller. Chinkshit optics like that on there are guaranteed terrible.

above average imported chinese scope sold through Amazon (i think exclusively). it's meh but isn't trash. snobs will shit on it.
While the snobs are out, is primary arms good (enough)?

I'm 100% serious.
I've owned a shotgun for years, and have two S&W pistols that are 100% stock. I'm not going full retard on customizing my AR, but I wanted a scope, and this shit looks titties
>>32139857
Dont. That thing is shit
>>32139939
Yeah bro it looks great. Buy it.
>>32139857
If that survives casual bench shooting, and that's ALL you will EVER want it for, then it might be okay.
Do not expect it to be up to drops, bangs, bumps, or any kind of serious movement. Hell, even course shooting can fuck up a cheap scope if it bangs around on your back or chest enough.

It's for dressing up your airship to look like a cool operator when mommy drops you off with your friends. If you spend less than 1.5x what you spent on your rifle, you're buying shit glass.

God when will this meme die.
you could get a budget red dot like the TRS-25 if you are a poorfag. I have one and it's been great to me im thinking about buying a second but i might spend a little more and try out a primary arms.

I bought one that looks exactly the same for about 40 dollars. The reticle doesn't even actually move, FYI. You can spin the windage and elevation knobs all you want, nothing will change.
It did do well at it's intended task for me, however, which was to see what a .50 BMG would do to a scope in a head-on shot.
>spoiler; it raped the shit out of that scope

Get a load of this guy!

Memes die when people don't want to hear them anymore. Obviously this "meme" isn't going to die anytime soon since people like OP ask nearly everyday if some $100 airshit optic will work on their gun.
>>32139936
Yes

As always, buy once, cry once. Buying a BudK quality scope might scratch an itch for a few range days, but will end up broken in the back of your closet. There are a ton of quality scopes in the sub 500 dollar price range that will last your lifetime.
>>32140199
You can find non illuminated leupold mk4 4.5-14x sub 500 now days. Scope is solid as fuck and you can change the turrets/ridicule out cheap
OP here. This is my first rifle. I own two shotguns and two pistols. None of them have had any kind of upgrades or modifications. I will be using this rifle for shooting at a gun range only. If this will be alright for that, I'm good with the purchase. otherwise, I will be keeping this thread alive for suggestions after Cyber onday kicks off and anyone gives a shit.

Iron Sights are better, cheaper, and less costly to maintain.
Squint hard enough and any shot will meet its intended path.
>>32140386
Just get a vortex or something op, not much more expensive, pretty rugged, and gas a lifetine warranty
>>32140386
How far are you shooting?
You could get a Nikon prostaff for like $150 or less that will actually last
>>32140386
Even for range use Barska is dogshit. Primary Arms 1-6x or Vortex Strike Eagle is what you want.
