Russia successfully tests ICBM train that can travel 1,500 miles a day and blend in with other locomotives before launching its missiles. The mobile weapons platforms carries 6 Yars or Yars-M with their command units, and is expected to come operational between 2018 and 2020. The Yars missile carries 4 250 kiloton warheads each, and have a range of 6,800 miles.

How can west overcome the NUKE TRAIN gap?
>>
By building the Zumwalt of nuke trains. It will be so stealthy that AMTRAK will never notice. It will fire stealth projectiles that even Shinkansens will be jealous.

>How can west overcome the NUKE TRAIN gap?

You know how if you combine slavs + boats you end up with a national disaster/humiliation?
Well, they're not nearly as terrible with trains, but still pretty fucking awful. Just wait until Ivan gets fucking ploughed out of his skull on vodka, parks his lada on the train line and derails it, then sit back and watch the lunacy that will come to pass with a combination of vodka, lada's, rocket propellent and a nuke mixed in with it.

So, how different are the Russian trains from their European counter-parts? I know that they have slighter wider (or was it shorter?) for some reason. Is there any reason behind the difference?

wider so enemy couldn't use their trains

Where do they hide their truck-based ICBM? Is there any unit assigned to them to guard their march?

It's wider (1520mm instead of 1440) because Russia doesn't use UIC standards.

That seems like a really neat way to accidentally a couple of nukes. 5 years later the local Ukrainian mob boss will have a nuke caboose in his courtyard.
>>
>>32123366
Except in this case they haven't found a way to overcome any of the limitations of rail-launched missiles. All they've done is increase the speed and range of the train.

They had the chronosphere.

The whole plot to the first one was Einstein goes back in time to kill Hitler, and since Hitler wasn't around to spark WWII good old Stalin got delusions of grandeur and invaded Europe.

Stalin was retaliating for the Western powers intervening in the civil war though, if you can't take a punch don't start shit you know?

>>
>>32121040
by using solid rocket fuel for our nukes so we don't have to spend time hiding our nukes to fuel them up before launch.
>>
>>32123946

Was the same Einstein as the one in the Red Alert timeline? I think he just created an alternate timeline and he never suffered the consequences of his actions.
>>
>>32121040

1. They have had train nukes for ages.
2. A trainee Vympel group was given the task of finding a bunch of nuke trains as part of their graduation test - they found them in about a week and set up fake ambushes on them all.

Just something to consider.
>>
>>32123946
have you ever considered that all these jews going back in time trying to kill hitler is why the holocaust happened?
>>
>>32121830
Kek. Boys with toys!
>>
>>32123207
This.

In RA2 Allies campaign, the Chronosphere was dropping in tons of troops right into Moscow.

RA1's Chrono couldn't move whole armies, but dropping an IFV loaded with Commandos into the USSR for a surgical strike just to have them reboard the IFV and pop out before a proper response could kill them..
Jesus the shenanigans a general could pull with that, the amount of resources the enemy would have to use to guard everything.

Chronosphere should have been the #1 target in either war.

Or in RA2, have Yuri mind control Einstein to either an-hero, or walk to the USSR border for pickup.

Any other as in one of two ever developed, of which the only operational was Russian? It's new and is about to come operational. It will most likely exploit a new diesel locomotive that is times more powerful than the old one, meaning that it is not so easy to identify through satellite intelligence. the missiles is also modern. In sort, it's better is pretty much every aspect.
>>
>>32123507
And who will let you? Even if you send a team to sabotage one line ad it succeeds, there's always another line.
>>
>>32123532
US railways are pretty awful and redundant, US has pretty much forsaken railroads for intersate highways.

>>
>>32123583
>they haven't found a way to overcome any of the limitations of rail-launched missiles
Which are...? The only limitation is the limitation of the railway itself, and it was solved even with the previous system - they just strengthened every railway in 1500km radius from the base.

Welp, found it.

>intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) / Battle railway missile system (BZHRK). OCR to create BZHRK initiated in 2012 and conducted by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology (MIT). Up to December 2014 it was discussed that the creation of the complex may or based ICBM RS-24 "yars" or on the basis of an ICBM RS-26 "Frontier" or using the developments on intercontinental SLBMs 3M30 "Bulava" . But the information appeared in the media in December 2014 that the complex will include in its membership ICBM type "yars" or "yars-M"
>In December 2014, the media Deputy Commander Strategic Missile Forces said that BZHRK development may soon begin, and commander in chief of the Strategic Missile Forces said a day later that the new facility is name "Barguzin". Development of design documentation started in 2015 and it is scheduled for completion in mid-2016.

>Barguzin
>Yars-M
So basically not under Project Avangard?

"The Primal Solution". The central character somehow takes over the body of a young Hitler. After tormenting him for a while, the protagonist prepares to force Hitler to commit suicide. However, Hitler reasserts control just before throwing himself into the river. In shock over the whole experience, he wonders why the protagonist, who had identified himself as Jewish, did these horrible things to him. The protagonist realizes that he had possessed Hitler before he had acquired any anti-Semitic feelings, and his possession caused those feelings. His attempt to prevent the Holocaust directly caused it.

I got a question, if cops drive around with dosimiters that go off when a person with radiation treatment can trigger it... why can't an agent/us diplomat walk around with a tiny dosimeter and locate the nuke cars? Secondly if a nuke car can't be walked inside of does that mean the car will need to be on the end of the train so as not to fuck up the passengers' day. If it's in the center wouldn't a large civilian population know where the car is? Again put a dude on the car and then have him tell C which car couldn't be entered. Why not have someone at the station look for the one with no lights and the shutters down? Also if you're running SATLINT operations, couldn't you look at a train with people getting off at a train station and look for the one with nobody getting out of?

Like this is the most overt covert thing. This is like MX without the M and the X being on a track that's known to the enemy. This is retarded.

Don't get me started on "morale" operations.
>>
>>32130851
First, there is something called shielding. Second, these are self contained trains, not something that gets coupled to the Azcrakistan Express. There will be no passengers on these.
