That ugly fucking cot on the top of the slide resembles a P320 more than a VP9
>>
>>32103427

.... I mean I like it.
>>
>>32103427
From the videos of it I've seen I actually kinda like it. The texturing looks pretty good, not overly aggressive but definitely something to get a hold of. It's Front cocking serrations if you're into that sort of thing, ambi controls, and from what I saw several people were saying the trigger on it is even better than the PPQ, which is definitely saying something. The MSRP on it is really reasonable too. Street price of less than $500 seems like it'll make it a pretty decent deal.

Will it be the end all be all game changing pistol? Probably not but it doesn't look like it'll be trash by any means.
>>
>it's totally not just another glock guys!

Sub $500 street price and a (possibly) a better trigger than a PPQ? Not possible. Or maybe it is.

I'll buy one to try it out.
>>
>>32103782

Wait, a better trigger than the PPQ? Source?
I was thinking about getting a PPQ M2 longslide in 9mm.
>>
It's like an uglier XD with a glock trigger and striker fired. Fucking gross, I'll pass.
>>
>>32103843
The PPQ Longslide rocks. I rented one at the range so I could compare it to my P99. I had never fired a PPQ before and I immediately shot it better than the P99. The trigger is excellent and the long slide gives a longer sight radius and helps reducing recoil.

maybe no brass pelting your face

right, another glock

MAC says it'll give the PPQ trigger a run for its money.

I have a PPQ M1 and I'm a huge fanboy of Walther in general, so I have a hard time accepting that the trigger could be as good, let alone, better.

Waiting 2-3 years before I consider looking at this gun. Early M&P's had inaccuracy issues due to shitty slide/barrel lock up and and twist rate, early gen 4 glocks had brass to face issues, a number of p320's currently have extraction issues or reset timing issues that can lead to a dead trigger during live fire.

that's what i look for in a gun, absence of machining marks. fuck reliability, accuracy, and ergonomics and shit bro. we autist now.
>>
>>32106349
salty.
>absence of machining marks
is a major factor in reliability. machining marks is where dirt and carbon get surface area to stick to. also, to make a good gun you ned tight tolerances - something only really possible with mondern manufacturing methods. Glock has the tightest tolerances and best machining in the industry. this is, coupled with the great desing, the reason why the pistol works as well as it does.

He's just neglected to state that he receives ammo for free in a number of videos while also saying stuff like "this is my favorite ammo, I use it all the time". That's just one of the things that is directly provable, he's in really close with the industry too. In that video even he got invited to the factory and got exclusive access to a gun from a company he's said he's a "fan" of before. I just don't trust him to be unbiased or to say when he's being sponsored.
>>
>>32106258

Internal slide rails allow for thinner slides and a lower bore axis for a hammer fired pistol. But strikers already allow low bore axis so there's no real need for internal slide rails and may even be detrimental with polymer frames flexing during firing.

>>

Looks fine, you don't even have to waste $650 on it and buy aftermarket parts to make it decent. The real problem is Glock refuses to do anything but make the same pistol. When they try it's been so long since they had to work that everything is fucked up.
>>
>>32103427

Cobra beat them to it.
Meet the patriot .45, it's basically a glock made out of garbage by idiots. Fortunately, the glock is a very forgiving design and standard pressure .45 is so tepid it won't explode.
Probably
Many who've bought them seem impressed, many as well also have a variety of mostly QC/workmanship issues. It's a crapshoot, all and all
All that said, it's a remarkable achievement for $299.
Unfortunately, the MSRP is $350~

Snicker all you want you uneducated fool spouting "knowledge" you snatched up at some gun shop....

"Tolerances" is the acceptable range of how much a part is allowed to deviate from a specified blue print standard.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Engineering_tolerance

Now what fgts like you actually mean when they say "tolerances" is clearances - empty space that was engineered into the machine. When you have a "tight tolerances" machine, that space too has the same dimensions in every machine.

The Legion does not have tight tolerances nor does it have proper clearances to work.

Everybody that's complaining that CZ "caved in" on the striker train is forgetting the CZ100

I can see why they went with the slide outside of the rails because CZ100, CZ82, CZ52, Etc, but even without their main aesthetic 10/10 can't wait to see glawk and M&P get btfo

>cheaper MSRP (blue ribbon excluded)
>already uses existing holsters for one of the most common carry handguns in the US
>Czechnology and CZ quality, Cold Hammer Forged Barrel, etc
>apparantly has a better trigger than the PPQ (subjective I know but the trigger reset in the demo video is VERY short for a striker)
>muh ergos
>muh non A2 grip angle
>reverse compatability (and most likely complete compatibility with minor modification) with existing platform magazines

To me, it seems as if CZ took a Glock 19 and said "how can we make this better". I can't wait to see this eat up market shares and MAYBE have Glock do something different. I know they won't but it's nice to dream.

For reference the M&P 9c has a MSRP of $560 or something like that and retails for $450 and change at my LGS. If the P10 shows up at around $400 that'd be perfect.

Besides, it's not like they're getting rid of the P07 or P01. CZ is still the only other company besides Glock to pass extremely rigorous NATO testing with the P01.

We all have to remember that it was literally premiered today, on Thanksgiving, and we only have one source to go off. I'm waiting for more information before I get too excited, so don't blow it off or go pre-order it yet.

You've got it basically. The finish itself isn't as good as most competitors either. They're not bad guns but the vocal fanbase makes them out to be something above average which they really aren't.
