Actually have one of these:

>With 22 LR, rounds tumble end over end, right out of the barrel. The rifling in the 3/4 inch barrel doesn't get a chance to spin the bullet.
>With 22 CB, actual stable bullet flight. Lower velocity probably allows rifling to work.
>Sight picture is top of front sight aligned with center of hammer, and about 1/2 of the way up. Then put aligned sights into center of target.
>With 22 CB and on a good day, can put 8-10 rounds out of 10 into a paper plate at 7 yards.
>Bonus: With CB ammo, about as loud as a cap gun.

I want to, but theyre just too small for me to shoot. theyre cool to look at or have for history but I cant shoot them. that includes modern ones like the sig p238 or LCP

Oh no, within their limitations, they're a seriously fun range toy. It is quite the amusing challenge to figure out how shoot one of these with any kind of accuracy. From experience, use 22 CB ammo, and work up a sight picture using the hammer as the back sight.

I complement this thing with my other range toy, a two-shot Derringer in .357 magnum. Needless to say, the kick and blast from this thing is much worse.

Pawn shop has what looks like a colt 1908 but its got a hammer. Any ideas whatit could be, im like 90% its a colt but ive got no idea what model.

Does anyone still make 25 acp? It must be super cheap to reload since its like 2 grain max of powder. I wonder if you can make a decent load for it without exploding a gun

I carry my G19, so the little colt mostly just sees the range.
If i needed an ankle gun or backup though, I'd have no problem carrying it.

Wish I could find some extra mags, but it seems that since it's one of the post Astra produced "Junior" models, the mags aren't quite the same.
