I'm buying a handcannon.
It'll be my first revolver.
Is there any special shit to know about a revolver, besides
>mind the gap
that's different from most other weapons?

I hope you reload.
>>32063017
Of course. Why pay $2 a shot when I could load for under $1?
Are you the 8" 500SW guy that had a post last night?
On reloads, watch out on pushing the cast lead bullets (non-gas checked) too fast, or the thin jacketed ones. Buy HSM cowboy ammo; they use Starline brass and you can 'cheaply' build up a brass stock.

thats a big gun

yeh. layaway five-hunnert mag.
I figure I'll end up experimenting with more exotic shit and sticking to vanilla loads with classic bullet types.
Maybe someday soon I'll also have a bigass block of ballistic gel and some solid copper penetrators.

>for you

You eventually should try the 700gr bullets just for shits and giggles. Watch the left thumb as you're holding it, it may get hit by the cylinder thingy on the frame during recoil.
Have you fired a 500 before? Seems dumb to buy it and find out you don't like it but whatever.

Timing is everything
>>32062917
Yeah. Make sure you have a strong grip. Also, don't lock your elbows when you fire it or your arms will hate you after a while.

What are those. They're so sexy

Model 29 and Model 25 Smith and Wesson.
>handcannon
>with a muzzle brake
get a real hand cannon.
