Is there anyone who makes 9mm double stack 1911s besides para usa? I can't find any of their double stack 9mm 1911s in stock anywhere. I was looking for one of their Pro Custom 18.9 handguns but am now trying to find a different company that makes something similar because apparently these are non-existent.
>>
ria or sti though that turns into the choice between maximum poorfag and 2k why not
>>
>>32053939
Thanks, I'll check them out. Seems like most of PARA USA's guns are out of stock are they going out of business or something?
>>

>double stack 9mm 1911

this is called a Browning hi power
>>
>>32053978
sorry grandpa, but 1911 is a better design for doubestack 9mm
>>
>>32053978
No it's not.

how exactly?

yes, it is
>>

Para was bought by Remington, last year, and the brand was killed. There will be no more Para stuff coming.

its a shame but para was so so to beginwith. they had the capacity to make excellent guns but they let numerous shit ones ship out. it was like a 3/4 chance of something nice. if you were the 4th guy it was hell
>>
>>32054024
reliability, frame fatigue, accuracy, parts
>>
>>32054047
i can shoot a 3" group one handed at 10 yards with my hi power, which has fewer moving parts than a 1911 and is, in spite of your incorrect opinion, a better weapon
>>
>>32054024
It is a different gun.

>>32054030
>>32054031
Damn, I better grab some extra mags for my 12-45 while I still can then. I really liked how my 12-45 felt in my hand too, it's why I wanted to go with them for another gun. I'll probably looking into an STI then, any recommendations on which of their double stack models to go with? Seems like the edge is their highest end model but has no rail for if I want to put a light on it. The Hex and Tactical models both have rails for lights but I'm not just want the difference is besides the hex serrations instead of standard ones on the hex model and the tactical having a longer light rail and a threaded barrel.
>>
>>32053923

STI makes doublestack M1911s in 9mm, .40, .45 ACP and 10mm.

They're pricey though.
>>
>>32054031

That's rough.

I have an 18.9 and it's been good. Not practical for anything, but it's nice.
>>
>>32054079
Look at their models right now, any recommendations on which double stand model? I can't figure out the differences betwee nthe eagle and edge model besides one costing $200 more.
>>
>>32054075
sti lets you custom order guns if you have a specific combination in mind they will build it for you. it wont be cheap.
>>
>>32054102
looking*
>>
>>32054111
Thanks for the heads up. I'll look into that.
>>
>>32054079
>>32054102

Anything STI will be top quality, I'm too poor to own one so I have no clue.

As this anon said if you call them, they'll build you exactly what you want, which would probably be the way to go if you're throwing down that kind of cash.

2011 tho.
>>
>>32054073
your autistic opinion sure did counter mine.
>>
>>32054147

Yeah, well if its doublestack and its a 1911 then clearly that's the case. I've always thought calling it a 2011 is kind of odd though.

This photo of a lightly clothed oriental woman, posted with no accompanying text to provide possible context, adds nothing to this discussion and only serves to distract from the topic at hand. Furthermore, the suggestive nature of the photo is inappropriate for a board that is explicitly dedicated to the discussion of weapons. Please delete this post.

How do they actually fit their heads so far up their asses?
>>

YOU'RE DAMN RIGHT IT DID
>>
How accurate are the RIA 1911s? How do they compare to say a Glock, PPQ, or VP9 in accuracy?

>>32054206
I don't know. Can't even find info about them. Not really feeling as interested with remington making them now.
>>
If you want to pay too much for what you get, I believe Wilson Combat makes some.
>>
>>32054305
>How accurate are the RIA 1911
nothing special but not horrible either. limiting factor is the user not the gun.
>>
>>32054329
Is it more accurate than a glock or any of the other polymer pistols like the PPQ or VP9? Or is it about the same?

Just get a fucking CZ75B SA or Shadow
>>
>>32054329
>limiting factor is the user not the gun.
That's true for all guns but certain guns are more accurate and certain guns are less accurate. Your own accuracy adds onto the accuracy of the gun. You still benefit from a more accuracy gun even if you aren't capable of achieving the full mechanical accuracy of the gun.
>>
>>32054350
bout the same a a glock maybe a little worse
>>
>>32054397
I'll probably just save up for the STI then.
>>
>>32054350
Bro, you're really grasping at staws here. They're not comparable handguns, completely different locking systems and barrel tech
>>
>>32054413
I know that. But the accuracy of the different guns can be compared to each other.

Looking at this review it might be a touch more accurate than a glock with the OEM barrel. Most groups I've seem for the glock with the OEM barrel are larger than this at 25 yards.
>>
>>32054428
at this point its a mass produced budget gun with acceptable accuracy compared to a semicustom or custom gun from sti theres no comparison
