This FN M249S is only a semi auto, so one shot per pull of the trigger. Could I make a robot that rapid fires the trigger so it fires at the rate of a full auto? Help me come up with some shitty ways to do this /k/.

Could throw a gat trigger on it, a shitty way to do it but it works

Yes, but if your robot can be activated with a single button press then you're back to square one.
Maybe let the robot take any number of button presses with any timing, then queue them up and read them in at a rate that matches the gun's ROF. Then you're still doing one round per trigger pull

What if i build a humanoid android with the capability of learning how to fire my semi-auto gun at a consistent, high rate of fire?
They can't charge me because i didn't pre-program the instructions

Make a robot get the the saw up with a multi tool when it fails. Then get back to me.

>press button
>mechanism makes gun fire 3 minutes after button is pressed
>press button 299 more times
>gun proceeds to shoot tons of bullets in quick succession
>semi-auto because you had to press button once for each shot
>TFW semi-auto but actually not semi-auto :^)

>Fully automatic guns are illegal.
>Gattling guns are totally fine.
>They both do the same thing anyways.
Yeah, sometimes, I have to wonder about these laws.
