Let me put it this way. A reasonably skilled shooter may manage to hit 3-4 MOA with a reasonably accurate mosin. That translates to a 3 to 4 inch group at 100 yards, meaning if you put a man's head in your sights at 100 yards, the bullet may travel 1.5 to 2 inches in any direction from your target. That was perfectly sufficient for what was needed during Stalingrad.

Anything is better than a bunch of wood strapped directly to the barrel.

Is it worth it?

Not really, you could buy a brand new rifle for an equivalent amount of cash that would run circles around a Mosin. That being said, if you're the type of person that has to modify everything, it's a good stock to do that with.

I like it. A hunting rifle with irons, get a detachable mag for your mosin, etc. Put it on my chinese carbine, so no autists can disagree. Only downside is that I need to drill and tap a scope mount for the bastard.
