$320 for my first gun.

No rust (except some very light spots on one of the magazines that I polished out), finish is nigh perfect, bore is good, all parts smoothly oiled.

Not to mention it's in .380, so no worries of 9x18 mak ever drying up.

Did I do good /k/?
>>
>.380
You fucked up.
>>
>>31975591
How so?
>>
>>31975591
>.380
Hardly ideal, but not terrible either.
>>
>>31975602
Just a meme.
Didn't mean for you to take it seriously.
Obviously, 9mm is superior, but .380 is good to.
>>
bruh, you can find makarovs in mint condition for $320

let this be a lesson to you
>>
>>31975584

Did you consider that 9x18 is 3 to 5 cents cheaper per round and the original cartridge?
>>
>>31975607
>>31975613

The reason I specifically wanted to get .380 is because even if the shops around stock 9x18 m, it's usually Hornady carry ammo, so it's hella expensive.

This is mostly just going to be a target gun anyways, doubt I'll carry it until I can get my license.
>>
>>31975614
fucking where?
>>
>>31975621
>>31975622
Not in my area, and I usually avoid ordering online unless I have to.

I've been burned one too many times to trust online ammo sources anymore.
>>
>>31975622
You can still find 9x18 for 12$ a box online vs 20 or so in a gunshop. If you buy enough it's still cheaper with shipping.

>>31975623
look up bulgarian makarov, a few places have them
>>
>>31975672
I didn't want a Bulgarian.

Fixed sights aren't what I was looking for in a target gun.

Plus the issue I have with acquiring 9x18 m.
>>
>>31975710
>not wanting glorious bulgarian urplus
>makarov as a target gun
>cant lrn2internet for ammo
>>
>>31975584
Shit. You could have gotten a new gun for a little more.
>>
>>31975742
I'm certainly going to own one, if I can't get a Soviet made Mak first, but for practicing with my first gun, I specifically wanted cheap plinking ammo and target sights to get some practice in.
>>
>>31975760
then buy a 9mm something or better yet a 22 for cheap plinking
>>
>>31975757
This.

I got an S&W Shield for 350+tax

Go Wanad or go home.
$230.

Commiefornia-fag here, looking for a decent home protection handgun. A friend told me I can't go wrong with a Glock 17, memes aside, but I was thinking of getting a .22 gun first so I could start off cheap and practice cheap.

I'm a 5'4" manlet, never had military training, shot 4 guns belonging to a friend's ex-police dad at a range in high school.
>>
>>31975810
A .22 is great to learn, not the best for self defense. Maybe try to find a gun that accepts conversion kits to .22. I've owned Glocks and had a few issues so I switched to HK and never looked back. I like the p2000 and USP series.
>>
>>31975807
Eww.

Gross gun AND a double upload.
>>
>>31975817
A converter might be the best option. I'll look around. Thanks for the advice.
>>
>>31975810
I'd just get a 9mm and ammo plus range time unless you have the extra dosh to buy another handgun.
>>
>>31975833
Fuck you; Wanad is beautiful!
And I deleted the first one because the pic was too big.
>>
>>31975870
I know SIG and CZ have them but I avoid those due to having a CZ and a SIG breaking in my hands at the LGS. Honestly though you can learn just fine on a 9mm, make sure to save enough to be able to buy like 500rds of ammo with it to train. Make sure you get something that is comfortable for you to hold and shoot, that's really important. Next to that make sure you get something that is well made
>>
>>31975630
>>31975639
You are a retard
>>
>>31975639
I don't understand how you've been "burned" on online ammo purchases unless you buy from fucking craigslist or armslist.

I order at least 50% of my ammo online.
>>
>>31975934
Unless there is some special deal I never get better deals online as opposed to my LGS. Shipping always evens it up and at that point I'd rather have the ammo right away instead of waiting.
