Anyone in here have an HK45? I'm selling my champion operator, and I'm considering getting a 5" 1911, but the HK45 has always appealed to me.

The Colt pictured above is a 5" barrel.. I think haven't actually measured..
Anyway, it's really about an inch too long for IWB carry. It pokes out a bit especially when I bend over. Using a forwarded canted holster doesn't help.
On the other hand, the variant 3 trigger on the HK's... well really all of hk's triggers are kind of garbage. I'll hold to the idea that HK makes the best barrels in the world. I really believe that but their triggers are garbage.

My next gun is probably going to be a compact 9mm 1911 like the Springfield EMP.

Yeah. I got the champion with the intent to carry, but wound up going back to my M&P. I just want a 1911 for playing with now. I'm thinking either a full size Operator or Loaded, but I'm open to whatever. Gonna try to sell the operator at a gun show tomorrow. Worst case scenario, I'll keep the champion and live with it

in that order. The USP is both a duty gun and a range toy. 1911 is arguably more of a range toy first, duty gun second. HK45 is a cheaper version of the USP, not bad but a little rough around the edges and for the price and HK logo you might as well go all in

HK - best barrels but why can't they make a decent trigger or striker fired gun?

Glock - run the best filled with random objects I guess.
