So there have been many speculations on the best concealed carry handgun, but what I'm wondering about is what's the best cartridge in a concealed carry?
Right now I'm stuck between 9x19mm para, 9x18mm mak and .380 ACP.
Revolverfags and (if you actually exist) derringerfags welcome.
>>
>>31971398
Also forgot to ask.
What's better? Singlestack or doublestack for CCW?
>>
10mm and a glock 40, never know if rabid deer or boars will be the next threat at a public event
>>
9x19mm is the best

Single stack is best
>>
1911 in 10mm.

Memes aside, you can't go wrong with a glock 26.

If you can CC a glock 19 every day, good. If it's a hassle, get a bodyguard/p238/G43/42 etc.

9x19 single stack is my choice.
>>
>>31971398

HK USP, 9mm, with a light.
Or
Any random gay ass glock where if you fuck the trigger too much you shoot urself

>Seriously if its your first CCW, get a manual safety to save the paperwork and embarrassment.

Glock 19 gen4
9mm x 19 Luger aka parabelium.

9mm is the best round

choose between the following

>glock 19
>glock 26
>glock 43 if you're a faggot
>cz 75
>beretta 92
>m&p shield 9mm if you're a faggot

kill yourself otherwise. not even joking.

Just to give you guys a basic knowledge on if I have any fat pouches to hide guns in, I don't.

Usually prefer to wear bootcut jeans.
I have been wondering about armpit/holsters, though.

Glock 29 CCW here. Used to carry a G19 in 9x19, 4 years ago I switched to 10mm. Never looking back. Pic related is what are in my mags now. They're wicked.
>>
>>31971512
So you have never ccw'd before and want to do it with pistol you dont have experience in ?
>Sounds like disaster
After you do your class, get at LEAST 40 hours with the gun before you bring it into public
>For our safety

Srsly tho, Don't skimp on training yourself.
>>
>>31971539
Literally no need to not carry it around if you have a Permit and solid holster. Just need to brush up on dressing while carrying, laws, ect...

As far as actually USING it. Yeah, practice. Ensure it goes bang every time then practice shooting.
>>
I love .40 cal myself

>>
Have shield and g26. I prefer the glock for various reasons and not keen on single stack, but it really is a comfort/preference thing.

Best advice is to make sure you rent out a few and see what *you* like best.

Those are your criterias. If you check all three, you're good.

There is no 'best' gun. Period. I don't give a single shit what you say. Everyone's body is different and everyone's preferences are different.

thats like asking whats the best pair of shoes to buy or car to own. Its going to be different for everyone, thats why there are so many options to pick from
>caliber
as stated, theyre mostly the same performance wise. Some might outperform others in certain scenarios but you cant predict what you'll get into
>single vs double stack
comfort and maybe legally based. See what you can or cannot get first and then decide. Personally I started with a single stack because I was more nervous about printing and such a slim gun made my transition easier, but you dont have to. You can argue capacity all day long but use what youre comfortable. Ill take a single .22 over my dick in my hands any day
>revolver vs auto
see about
I always use the 3 C's. Comfort, cost efficient, common sense. Get something youre comfortable with, both shooting, carrying and holding. If it doesnt feel right yout break it in like a pair of shoes. You also dont have to blow the bank for a first gun, you dont have to get a budget gun either. Id say 4-500 hundred is an even start. You could but a Ferrari as you first car, but that doesnt mean you should. Which goes with common sense, get something smart. Not fun, not cool, not heirloom worthy. that can come later once youre more epericned. Get something boring like a glock or whatever and learn on.
I learned to shoot on a revolver, first thing I carried was a glock 19. You dont have to put all your energy into your first gun just becuase its your first. Also, you dont have to stick with just one gun forever, ive got like six ccw's I cycle out
>>
>>31971398

Alchemy Arms Spectre - if a 1911 and glock had a baby - this would be it.

Only thing I don't like is I shot one at the range and the trigger is weak compared to my 92fs. Only other gun I've ever shot
>>
>>31972587
What do you mean? Do you mean it's too easy to pull? Too hard? Too short? Too long?
>>
>>31972611
Sorry it's too quick easy to pull and fire also it doesn't have a safety which I am afraid I'll accidentally fire in my holster
>>
>>31972648
A) it has an optional safety.
B) if you're afraid of it going off in your holster that is the fault of either you or your holster, not the gun
>>
>>31972352

>Only in .45 ACP

Shame. For a moment there I thought I found my next gun.

>Canadian where .45 is hella expensive and noone in our Law enforcement or military uses it.
>>
>>31972980
Yep.
I'm actually tempted to buy it myself.
But really I'm split between it and the MK23.
Spectre because I'd love making people do a double-take when looking at it.
MK23 because I want the ability to shoot .45 super and .460 Rowland as well as .45 ACP.
HELP.

G19 if double stack. It's the most concealable 15-rounder I've used. I don't like the short grip on the 26 but that's your preference.

Shield 9mm if single stack. I just shoot it better and handle it more comfortably than any other single stack subcompact.

Piggybacking thread because it's not worth a new one:

I'm tryna carry a pistol, and cursory research has lead me to the FN series, specifically the 9 or 40.

Anyone have experience with these? I shoot an m9 regularly but never cc it.

I like the FN because cost is not a factor for me and it would look sexy with a light and reflex sight.

What say you, /k/
>>
>>31977596
FNS and FNX series are comfy af and good to go in my book. Poorly marketed so they're seriously underrated. Get the 9mm
>>
>>31977596
to add: the triggers aren't exceptional but they're pretty good, more or less as good as a Glock 19 or 17. Just shy of the Springfield XD (another good choice if you don't mind the grip safety) and miles ahead of the M&P

I like FN as a company. You should give them your money.
>>
>>31971398

Double tap double tap double tap.

Triple tap triple tap triple tap.

You don't want to pay hospital bills for the rest of your life if your court decides it so.

High capacity magazine gun is the way to go, and you kill the fucker coming at you by unloading your gun at him.

2 rounds out of 5 shot will hit the target at 10 feet when shot by someone who is both untrained and wakes up from the sleep.

You can't force people to train and practice. You can only hope for the best.

Everyone thinks he or she can be a home defence gangsta.

Until it's time to do home defence gansta shit.

Go.
>>
>>31977596

For CC, you might want to go with the FNS over the FNX just so you have a consistent trigger pull.

Unless you prefer carrying cocked and locked, in which case the FNX is a fine choice.
