/k/ am thinking about buying this Sig P226 Enhanced Elite this weekend. Is this a decent semi-automatic pistol?
>>
>>31963588
How much? And is it in 9mm?
>>
>>31963595
Yes, 9mm. It's round $1000.
>>
>>31963605
>It's round $1000.

New right? At that point, I would fork over the extra $100 for a Legion or MK25.
>>
>>31963588
>.40
if you get it for a great price then maybe
>>
>>31963588
I don't like where the slide release is on Sigs so that totally ruins every pistol they made for me.
>>
>>31963611
Yes, it would be new. Would mind explaining your opinion on why? I did not see those options in this particular shop.
>>
>>31963618
The slide release felt better to me on this particular pistol than the others I tried. It was smoother and took less effort.
>>
>>31963588
No, get the navy version scrub
>>
>>31963655
Am scrub. Trying to not be scrub.

The Legion has a bunch of extra features including
>Sig X Ray Sights (basically Trijicon HD's with a green photoluminescent front sight)
>undercut trigger guard near grip
>G10 Grips
>Grayguns custom trigger
>"PVD" Coating

For right around the same price.

This is a good video on the Legion 229, which is applicable to the Legion 226.

For the MK25, no parts are MIM at all and it has a phosphate coating to prevent corrosion. Not as many bells and whistles but it's in theory the most robust P226. It also has a short external extractor that some Sig afficionados prefer over the newer long extractor found on most Sigs.
>>
>>31963681
Thanks for the input!
>>
>>31963681
>Sig afficionados prefer over the newer long extractor found on most Sigs.
the longer ones can break because muh MIM shit.
might as well get a legion at the price for the trigger, but then gotta deal with the shit finish that still rusts.
>>
>>31963681

TL;DR
All I needed to see was
>Legion
and automatically thought of the +$600 pricetag for literally no reason besides those Lambda signias on it.
Trash/10
>>
>>31963738
>+$600 pricetag
its the same price as a mk25 bruh.

Super helpful! I think I'm leaning more towards the MK25 now. I noticed all the things you guys pointed out. Also, the Legion looks to be about +$260

I thought that is what the DA/SA meant. Trigger pull DA takes 10 lbs of pressure, trigger pull SA requires 4.4 lbs.

Look, when it comes to P226s, nobody knows more about P226s better than I, and believe me, I know a lot about P226s. What they have been doing to our P226s... it's just... terrible. Terrible. Even China is making P226s better than us. And don't get me wrong, I don't hate China. I love China. I have great relationships with China. I love the Chinese people. But they're definetely outsmarting us. *sniff* We're going to have to bring the P226s back, folks. And they will come back better and stronger than ever before. It's gonna be yuge, that I can tell.
>>
>Spend ~$1000 for a legendary SIG
>it can't even stumble its way through a mud test
>while a third world slav knock off runs circles around it
SIG is garbage. There's a reason they're being dropped left and right.
SIG of today is not SIG of 15-20+ years ago.
>>
>>31963716
That rusts? Are you high?
>>
>>31964044
>>31964044
That's not what the SRT is. It's still DA/SA, but it's got a really nice smooth pull, and it resets extremely quickly.
>>
>>31964053
>Or hk45
1 day these fags will be at the range and a buddy with let em shoot an HK and their life will never be the same.
Srs thou that sig decocker and HUGe frame/slide wtf
>>
>>31964053
>buying a plastic brick
It's not a soldiers gun. It's unreliable.
>>
>>31964067
Sorry, what lies were you spouting? Must suck to be a poorfag.
>>
>>31964411
look it up man, the legions still have sigs rusting issues.
>>
>>31964067
You do understand that Slovenia would in fact be a second world country, right? Having been a former part of the Warsaw Pact? Or do you not actually know what these terms mean? Or that they are wildly obsolete?
>>
>>31963617
Not OP, but the pic is still a P226. Its comes in 9mm, 357, and 40.
>>
>>31964027
I love the steel frame. I wish they would do steel frame in black for all models

Is a used Sig P226 for $750 worth it, caught a glimpse of it at my LGS.. not sure what model, can't remember if it had a rail or not.

Thinking about going there right now to get it anyway, anything I should look for or specific questions I should ask the guy at the store?
>>
>>31963611
My MK25 new was 999
>>
>>31966414
>that deadly high capacity magazine

Anon, control yourself
>>
it is "decent", but not great which is a factor for $1000. The Legion is not worth it either. And it has a weird decocker so it isn't left-hand friendly. It's really marketed to Sig junkies that want an upgrade or don't want to mess with the aftermarket.
>>
>>31964535

I guess you've never seen MAC's torture tests where both the Sig MK25 and Legion perform worse than a hipoint.

Look a lot of shit can be talked about DA trigger or the cost of mags. But no1 ever calls HK unreliable...
Whatever your smoking save me some Id pay top $$ to half as high as u must be to believe that
>>
>>31964523
if you arent a troll then youre a fucking idiot
>>
>>31966632
Nigger, that's stupid. Hi-points are fucking indestructible because of their sloppy loose tolerances and blow back operation. A Glock, HK, FN, Beretta, or any other decent gun will fail under certain circumstances that Hi-Point will run in because they are sloppy and dead simple mechanically. Hi-Points are shit, but they aren't unreliable.
>>
>>31967290
They are unreliable
>>
>>31963953
>about +$260
Consider how many times you can go shooting for this price, and consider how many decades you will own the gun, and how many fractions of a cent per day that turns out to be.

Have the Legion, confirm all the good things anons say. After its trigger, every other is gritty. Break is clean, reset is awesomely short.

Also, keep in mind that the Legion comes with three mags (don't know how many mags other models come with, but it's easy to find out, and mags sell for about $45 a piece). Also, you get a free Legion case (pretty useless to me, but some might find it fancy) and access to other Legion things. I like their IWB Mini Wing, though you can find the plain version of it for other 226.

Last thing - watch your ammo. It takes anything and keeps going, but some of my friends complained and I also noticed myself that some loads (in particular Winchester 100rd boxes) throw the brass right in your forehead.
>>
>>31967442
Forgot to mention, consider the SAO version, people say that its trigger is much better.
>>
>>31966812
It's got tight tolerances and a full length guide rod. It's unreliable.
>>
>>31966437
get a better look and see what it comes with/condition. That sounds about fair but maybe if can talk it down depending on those things
