You haven't shot many "smg" pattern guns then. The sp5k would be a better choice from all aspects.

The MCX is an ar18 clone that is trying too hard to be modern. There is nothing great about short stroke piston, a SCAR16 would have been a better long term choice.

Your purchasing pattern would suggest that price isn't an object, so I'm confused as to why you you settled with two subjectively sub par guns in an otherwise high end group.

If they are guns you want to own you didn't waste anything. Prices didn't go up that much. You will take a loss if you were planning to flip them, but if your intent is to shoot and enjoy then you should do just that.

Now you could have probably bought them at a slight discount now that Trump won and some scalpers and retailers will be dumping their inventory, but the difference is still not wasted. This was a close election, if you spent a couple hundred above market rate you can call it insurance. Nobody has a crystal ball, we could not have predicted that result.
