I "suffer" from cross-dominance. Makes aiming with long arms and handguns somewhat annoying.
I'm right-handed, left-eye dominant. Should I just deal with it, or start shooting primarily with my left hand? Thanks!

stop closing your eye
Shoot both eyes open like the non retarded pleb you SHOULD be.

It does make it annoying, but practice literally makes perfect and off-hand training is worth doing anyway in case your ever disabled or have to shoot from behind cover which would make a conventional righty oriented stance awkward.
Just means you're going to have to try a bit harder and for longer to achieve consistent results

Same, JUST fuck my target acquisition up

Right handed left eye dominant here.
I'm an A Class USPA shooter. I also shoot NRA High power rifle and a little bit of three gun.
I shoot handguns right handed and long guns left handed. When using a red dot i can use long guns on either side. Ambidextrous guns are becoming more and more prevalent and it's easy to get ambi lowers for ARs now.
I actually prefer using right handed bolt guns because I don't need to take my firing hand off the rifle.

Me too. I just retrained myself.

Tilt the pistol slightly towards your dominant eye. It will make a huge difference

When i was younger my right eye was a little wonky so my left eye assumed dominance. I'm 20/18 now thanks to lasers. I guess i could train my eyes to switch back but i'm to lazy and I don't see the point.

My right eye barely even fucking works at all, so I had largely given up on shooting long rifles with proficiency, but this gives me hope.
Just have to quit being a pussy and practice with my left hand.

I just close my left eye shooting rifles.
>muh combat situation
Jamal isn't going to fucking rape you the moment you close an eye out at the range
For handguns I've had good success with an isosceles stance and just tilting my head a bit if need be. The gun should be in the middle of your body, so your left eye isn't disadvantaged.

You can shoot pistol right handed but push it over so the sights are aligned with your left eye. IIRC this is what Larry Vickers and Mike Pannone do, because Snickers is cross-dominant like you, and because Pannone is blind in the right eye.

>I'm right-handed, left-eye dominant.
Same here. Started learning handguns using left eye, then suddenly and subconsciously switched and now using my non-dominant eye for shooting. Works just fine.
Never used left eye with long rifles, seem to be doing fine as well.
It's all about the way you train. Like riding a bike without using the handlebar - after a while, you just can't imagine what the fuck did you ever need the handlebar for.
