Can anyone suggest a single stack carry gun that actually has a decent external/manual safety and a trigger that isn't complete crap?
>>31960444
sig p238/938 is literally a small 1911 minus the safety acting as a slide lock
>>31960444
M&P Shield.
Their ported model feels like you're firing .380 auto even though it's 9mm luger.
>>31960511
>>31960520
What about 9mm?
>>31960444
1911
>>31960541
sig 938 is 9mm 7+1
>>31960444
Checked.
Why do you want a carry gun with a manual safety?
>>31960539
>ported
How hard is it on the ears?
>>31960541
You may have to polish the trigger, but after that it's tits.
>>31960561
that said, go to a gun store and manhandle as many guns as you can man, there a definitely double stack options and you may be suprised what a double stack pistol feels like with minimal shit around the magazine
>>31960444
>subcompact semi-autos
>lol
>>31960596
>wider than any option listed in this thread by a good half-inch
oh
>>31960614
Here comes the children that don't know what they're missing. If you had any real experience with nice firearms, you would realize how silly your criticism is.

>>31960444
>he thinks a Glock trigger isn't perfectly adequate for CC
>he thinks a manual safety on a carry gun is a good thing
>>31960444
Try a 1911.
>>31960561
Shit sorry for being fucktarded
>>31960569
Because compacts and subcompacts that come without manual safety make their trigger into a "safety" by making it horrendously long and heavy.
Your gun is meant to fight for you not against you.
That being said, I wouldn't be willing to get a gun without a manual safety and a light trigger, because that's just an ND/AD waiting to happen.
>>31960618
I agree with you, but stop chewing your fucking fingernails you disgusting bastard.
>>31960628
I'll stop biting my nails if you stop tripfagging
>>31960624
Never had a problem with my LCP + Sweet Pea in kydex. Just don't be a fucking tard.
>>31960624
That's why DA/SA exists. External hammer is better than safety in every way and you get a great trigger too
Safeties are a meme
>>31960596
>>31960618
>>31960636
nice where is the safety on there?
>>31960667
Keep your booger hook off the bang switch.
>>31960667
right here stupid faggot, additionally the heavy DA pull
>>31960667
You are the safety.
>>31960628
I'm a grown adult who bites my nails, compulsive habit but better than masturbating in public.
>>31960444
Glock 26 reporting in.
>>31960624
The pull on those types really doesn't seem too bad to me unless you're trying to slowly fire it to stage the hammer in double action mode to go off like a single action.
>>31960644
DA in a revolver can be kind of easy to skip a round if you pull just far enough and let go without it going off putting a live round in line with the barrel. I've done it dry firing mine the cylinder will turn over for the next shot but you can be down to 5 or 4 rounds then and have to pull just as many times to get back to that next round.
>>31960687
>>31960695
>>31960697
don't you guys have a 9mm vs 45 and glock is the only handgun that should exist thread to shit post in?
>>31960723
>DA in a rovolver can be kind of easy to skip a round base on my experience
>you should trust my opinions
no
>>31960579
Can't say since I only compared it to the non-ported version at an indoor range. When indoors, I can't detect small differences in report. The blast isn't much different at least. I suppose you would definitely be able to tell if you were using center axis relock.
OP asked for a subcompact, semi auto, single stack pistol with a manual safety
if youre glockposting or revolver fudding here you may be wrong
>>31960444
HK USP 9mm
doubles as a bottle opener, also dick grips
>>31960796
no
>>31960732
It happens. I don't care if you trust my opinion or not. You can get a bang, no bang from something like a light primer strike the hammer doesn't extend all the way back but the cylinder still moves, then it skips that round since the cylinder rotates again on the next pull.
Have you ever even touched a revolver? If you're trying to be speedy knock some rounds off in DA mode that's really not that hard to accidentally do.
I mean if you were going to get butthurt off something I kind of figured it'd be from saying the weight of the trigger pull isn't bad on sub compacts that don't have a safety, the pull weight isn't bad at all it's the pull length that fucking sucks and throws off the ergonomics.

OP here. I had the Glock 43 as the post's pic because it was the only compact/subcompact gun I had a pic of on my whole hard drive.

Sig P938. Out of all my pistols, I shoot the P938 best. Good crisp trigger with a manual safety that you can choose to carry with on or off.
>>31960444
Bersa Thunder 380 CC
.380 is 100% fine for concealed carry, there's some really good ammo now.
Sweet factory trigger.
PPK style safety.
Also, M&P Shield is popular for good reason.
xds trigger safety and pressure safety on grip
>>31962628
OP again.
Any opinion on the Thunder Pro Ultra compact 9mm?
>>31962683
Nothing firsthand, no. Seems to have a decent reputation.
PF-9 (zimmerman gun) with trigger kit. Thinnest 9mm out there; 8+1
$250 + $100 kit.
>>31963040
I've had my eye on it for quite a while now. I really like the gun, but the idea of a light trigger with no external safety kinda puts me off.
>>31961935
I wish the slide wasn't so big/tall and the gun so heavy
Other than that it pretty perfect
Glock 43 grip is awkward for me, too short for full grip and too long for pinky under mag grip
Shield would be sweet if it was basically the 45 shield in 9mm
Don't know much about xds but haven't liked xd's in the past
Lc9s pro has this dumb follower issue
Kahr is kahr... Don't like the trigger and just generally don't like the feel
>>31960579
The unported one feels like a .380, even with hot ammo.

Nah, I don't think so.

How does the mak compare to the sig p938 in size?
CZ-USA P07..... ANYONE have experience with this brand?? Either in 9mm or .40.
>>31963405
Hmmmm my bad it's a double stack...
Beretta 92sb model M compact.
Single stack 9mm. I have the 92sbC and it's a dam pleasure. Also dat finish
>>31963219
you won't care about the size when its a 2lb chunk of steel
>>31963417
Looked at it a few times myself.
Oh how I wish there was a singlestack CZ.
>>31963572
>>31960444
The Walther PPS.
Not really a safety but it has an external striker indicator that you can put your thumb on when drawing or reholstering that gives you an indicator on whether or not the striker is being engaged.
>>31963603
Anon pls I... I can only take so much
>>31963662
i got one in 9mm for $300, external safety, trigger feels good, single stack, czechnology. what more can you ask for? besides more shots?
>>31960581
This. And it's a bitch to clean.
