I think that an Uzi would be a better choice for you. The Sten is not renowned for it's reliability, it's just Ok at best. This is in part due to it's magazine, which is a pretty bad design of a double column single feed. Also something to consider is holding a Sten, you should really try picking one up before you go out and buy one, I know there are a fair amount of people out there who dislike Stens because of how odd they are to hold.

That's not a Sten, that's a Lanchester, made near the end/after WWII, when they could afford to put some R&D into the Sten and make it out of something better than scrap iron.

A beautiful, reliable weapon, one of the first SMGs to be fitted with a (functional) 50 round drum mag. supposedly pretty rare though, sad to say
