A kit will not be cheaper than buying an MP5. If you want one the cheapest way is a Turk clone. They are solid and I love mine. You can do it yourself but it takes a lot of patience and you will likely be out of spec.

Dealing with a flat is a pain in the ass unless you know a good gunsmith or have a jig. My friend just bought the sp5k for like $2,500 or something; huge waste of money. But the parts kits are usually around $1,500+. I just got an Uzi parts kit for $220 with barrel lol.
