>want to get a CCW but then remember that I don't care about my life in the first place so it'd literally be a waste of money

Another benefit is that you won't be on a list that the government can access.
If the government knows you own a gun, your ass is grass.
(for the record I am performing ironic shitposting, but I know people who actually believe this)

I have a carry license that I got maybe one week after turning 21 and $750. I'm totally set to buy something, but I can't get away from the idea >>31916913
Maybe I should get one just as a confidence booster? I don't know. I don't want to be that person.

Just care about your life more? It sounds like that money might be better spent on some therapy sessions.
>>31917009
I just want something casual that I don't have to think about. I don't even want to carry IWB. I noticed that in an EDC thread that literally nobody seems to pocket carry. Why is that? I thought it was a good idea with a little LCP or Bodyguard.

A lot of people don't like using pistols that are smaller than their palm.

That doesn't mean you can't smoke a few useless skin wagons before you put your own lights out, spanky.
>get into cc'ing because like shooting handguns and why not use a skill I'm knowledgeable about in a legitimate application

What?
>>31917017
for whatever reason the type of people who pocket carry aren't the type of people who post pictures of their guns
>>31920671
>can't kill myself: who'd clean my gun
That is a very good reason to not blow your brains up anon

It's one of those little ironies.
Parents were afraid when I got my first gun, especially since it was an AR15. My dad came with me to the range, brought my mom next time, both ended up loving it.
Two years later, they're spending some retirement cash on nice hand-loading shit, which I get to inherit. Shit's great

You ever shoot a Bodyguard? Thing is fucking miserable. Stiff gritty long trigger pull, long as fuck reset( like almost 3/4 back to start point), double action only, super snappy since it is a short and light as fuck .380acp.
Now disclaimer: It is a fine gun, affordable price and easily concealed. I just don't like it. I have a friend who bought one thinking it would be just like his SR9, he figured out quickly it wasn't.
I would personally rather a mid-full size IWB, over a gun I dislike for for concealment. If shit is bad enough I need a gun I want it to be something I can get several shots off in a comfortable consistent group.

I'm this way, though I care about money in the mindset of leaving something behind for those that I feel obligated to take care of.
>tfw I want to get a CCW but I live in California.
