What's the best hearing protection for rifle shooting where it doesn't interfere with your cheek on the stock? I'm assuming you have to use electronic ear muffs for combat/shtf so you can still hear noises.

pic related above work well, they're low profile enough. I have comtacts which also fit nicely

Take those, crank the volume to max, and add some earplugs.

Just what you posted is great
I get a solid cheek weld on all my rifles with them on, and you can play music (or mic audio I guess) through them

Fucking this. I work as an RO and me and all of my coworkers do this, shit is perfect.

I have a pair of these as well. They work well. I like the audio input as well.
If someone gave me some MSA Sordin supreme pro I'd take them but those things are like 270$ vs 40$ I'm not sure if I would get any improvement worth the money. I would like to see Consumer Reports do a hearing protection review.
I got me some of them thar walker's razor slim muffs. Decent protection, good microphones. They don't have stereo audio though, which makes direction finding basically impossible.

No one wears earpro during a firefight, i assure you. However i really do like those electronic earpro for the ranges and such. I wouldnt buy a pair myself but they work great. As you said thou they are bulky and do somewhat interfere with cheekweld in some applications.

Why though? Electronic ear pro would work as long as you could get batteries and you would be able to hear without hearing damage.

Not even the military?

Mic pickups do not allow you to locate where a noise is coming from, even if you have several pickups on the headphones. If you hear a noise coming from the bushes, you're stuck spinning in circles like a retard until you see something.
I wouldn't want to deal with that level of sensory deprivation in a fight. Would you?

These >>31912449
seal WAY better around your ears than the Impact Sports. I've had both. As a result they offer better protection.

Plugs. Fuck not having situational awareness even if it's at a private range alone.
