Trying to conceal a 226 creates a bunch of issues.

IWB or OWB both require good belts, which most people don't have by default. If you have a job and that job requires that you tuck your shirt in, OWB is probably not practical and IWB requires that you spend precious seconds in a dangerous situation to untuck your shirt before you can draw, actuate the safety, and aim.

A shoulder holster would work well from the standpoint of ease of retention and ease of access. However, good shoulder rigs aren't cheap, and they also require that you have a coat on constantly. Anyone who isn't a vapid retard is obviously going to be suspicious of someone who's wearing a sport coat/blazer in the heat of summer unless he can convincingly pull off the suit/corporate look.

As such, while you can try any of the above methods to see if they work for you, you're probably better off getting a gun specifically for carry rather than trying to bring a 226 everywhere.

Again, make sure its not tight fitting. You want something with some bagginess to it so it doesn't print as much. I would also suggest avoiding jackets that have draw strings on the the bottom(they're usually used to cinch the jacket around your waste, to prevent cold air from getting in) as these can create a snagging hazard for your draw from concealment.

...if you're in Boston or NY, yes, vests like that do look dumb. But if you're in Southwest or up North, or Alaska, they look just fine.

Show me a way to have many pockets and still be cool enough (temperature wise) when it is 80+ outside, and still look inconspicuous, and I'll take your advice.

Keep in mind that in extremely hot places people wear vests even in the middle of the summer because of stark contrast between indoors (where AC blows your brains out) and outdoors (where it actually helps to have an extra layer of protection on you for the time you get from one air conditioned place (say, the office or the mall) to another (your car).
