In my experience it tightened 100yd groups from 3.75" to 2.75"

And kept groups from spreading out over 4" with a very hot barrel.

yeah the discrepency between whether the barrel strut does anything or how accurate the gun is seems to depend on the year of production. I think 2005 was the new barrel? Mine's new but the strut still looks good.

the bayo lug interferes with the strut
