It is excellent pistol but too many small parts makes it not so easy to clean while drunk. Makarov pistol is better in this regard, fewer parts means disassembly is easy, you cannot lose barrel because it is attached to frame.

Hammer cocked, chamber empty. Half cock is if you really trust Soviet safeties, and any safety on a Tokarev is a joke. Don't carry it with the hammer down on empty chamber, though, it makes cocking it far more difficult.

Stay away from anything by Central international arms. I got the m88a and the thing didn't fire properly. Kept locking the slide back with ammo still in it. Sent it back to the factory, they didn't do shit to fix it.
