Literally any lubricant you use will be fine. You could use olive oil if you wanted to.

Both clp and ballistol evaporate really fast off ars in my experience and anything else is like 600% more expensive

supposedly Froglube is the best but you have to not be retarded to use it and willing to spend $15 on it. Ballistol is fine. Slip2k is also a good choice.

Generally no unless you have it soak in the barrel for long periods. 50BMG is the industrial strength shit that's a cunt hair away from being hydrochloric acid.

Ive been a breakfree guy for years and while it is a great cleaner/preservative...it is a shitty lube unless you apply it daily because it evaporates/runs off way too fast. I recently decided to give fp-10 a try and it seems to stay in place because its much thicker, and as a bonus smells better. Cant vouch for its cleaning abilities yet as I havent shot lately

Ballistol would be fine, but where it really shines is with any firearm that has a wood stock. Unlike many other options, it actually is good for wood, so no worries if you wipe some on the wood.

M-240 gunner. My weapon was an ancient hunk of shit that would malfunction 7-8 times on every fucking live fire range. Started using m-pro 7 and have never had an issue since. Bought some for my pistols and Ars and absolutely swear by it.

I am super pro-Ballistol, but it does burn off pretty easily. That means a lot for me because if I go shooting I usually shoot 200 rounds or more in a shortish period of time.

It matters less on my, say, pump shotgun because I usually only shoot 30 or 40 rounds through that at a time max.


I'd still suggest Ballistol, but you need to know its limits as well as its benefits.
