I finished my ar15 lower a few days ago and now I'm looking for a complete upper and sights to complete my build.
Which uppers should I be looking at? My budget is $800.
>not buying a PSA upper already
>not having that sweet mid length gas system
>not having that sweet FN built cold hammer forged barrel
>not having that sweet chromed BCG from toolcraft
>paying $800 for an upper
Pay $500 and save the rest for a good optic

Is that a magnifier for his reflex sight or does he have a backup red dot?
>>31812856
Also, what charging handle that be?

Are only the premium uppers the ones with FN barrels?
go with a piston
you will never have to clean your AR
I'm in approximately the same situation, but I'm on a lower budget. I'm thinking of buying this along with PSA's premium BCG and charging handle for a total of $440. Opinions?

I'm not falling for the piston or "no cleaning" meme
BCM thin barrel, cold hammer forged
should be about 750
fucking glorious

the cold hammer forged ones are for sure from FN, I believe the melonited ones are as well. It will say in the comments on whatever you pick out

do it, youll be happy

So you think it's a good option? PSA has so many options that I'm pretty overwhelmed. Can someone else weigh in before I buy?

>stainless
You will regret this

Yeah, I was kind of thinking that. However, most of the other models I'm looking at are out of stock. What other online sources should I be considering?
Solid do-everything good enough, go to gun set up:
>PSA 16" mid-length (premium line) http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-mid-length-cmv-cl-stripped-upper-without-bcg-or-charging-handle.html ($300)
>PSA BCG http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-5-56-premium-hpt-mpi-full-auto-bolt-carrier-group-no-logo-39339.html ($100)
>PSA charging handle http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ar15-m16-7075-t6-forged-mil-spec-charging-handle-24080.html ($20)
>Magpul rear BUIS http://palmettostatearmory.com/magpul-mbus-back-up-sight-gen-2-rear-mag248.html ($55)
>Primary arms micro dot http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-micro-dot-with-removable-base-eta-early-july-2016-md-rbgii ($90)
>10 mags ($100)
You'll still have money left over for a sling, light, and ammo.

Looks nice, but I'd love something with rails all the way down.

You could still add a cheaper rail to my list. UTG pro slimline would still be in budget, and its US made. https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/leapers-utg-pro-ar-15-13-super-slim-free-float-modular-handguard-aluminum-matte-black-mtu006ss-4717385550124.do
Maybe other used options over on the arfcom EE.
