If you were in Canada, I'd suggest a CZ-858. You can get it in either 7.62x39 or .223. Accepts either clips or mags, so you can save money/weight/bulk by carrying half your ammo in mags and the other half in clips.

$400? Ouch... last I checked, they were approaching $250 in Canada. Granted that price is from about 4 years ago, but to my knowledge we're still importing SKS-45s here, so if the price has gone up at all, I can't see it having gone up MUCH. The market was, and should still be, quite flodded with SKSs. Same with SVT-40s.

I see, well there are two things to do; buy firearms/ammo, and vote for anyone but Hillary. Personally, if I were American, I'd go for Trump.
