Ordered a bunch of strike industires small parts, gas tube, ejection port cover, charging handle, forward assist. All of it is made in China and "designed in Commifornia". The mold lines on the polymer ejection port cover are horrendous. REEE never buying their shit again except maybe the charging handle because honestly it is decent.

SLR rail shipped. Upper, stock, and buffer kit shipped.

Still need to order some grease for assembly, a front iron sight, some more ammo, and some more magazines.

Buy q-tips, specifically shitty offbrand ones that are harder than normal ones. Great for cleaning the chamber and BCG. You'll need rags for general wiping down of stuff. Get a hard bristle brush and possibly a brass scraper if you are shooting a lot of rounds. Be gentle with the scraper and never use any metal harder than brass to clean.

Don't be That Guy who uses a dental kit or who scrapes the inside of his rifle with the firing pin (I have actually seen this).

In my opinion the SPARC II is inferior to the PA MD ADS in all respects except maybe durability, but even then we're talking extreme stress tests and the PA MD ADS is no slouch in terms of durability.

I've owned both, and ended up returning the SPARC II. FIrst and foremost it is larger and heavier than the PA MD ADS. Second, the sight picture within the sight itself is partially occluded by some of the interior electronics. Even though the SPARC II is literally larger than the PA MD ADS, the actual sight picture is smaller and worse. Third and what in my opinion is the SPARC IIs biggest failure is that it has fewer brightness adjustments than the PA MD ADS. Now I'm not saying that it doesn't get bright enough, both sights get to about the same brightness, but the SPARC II has fewer adjustments within its brightness spectrum. The result is that you'll have a hard time dialing the right brightness for your eyes and the conditions you're shooting in. The least bright setting is far too dim for anything but dead of night, and the second least bright setting is far to bright for anything except a cloudy day. No room in between for dusk/dawn adjustments.

Finally the PA MD ADS has 50x the battery life I believe with 50,000 hours of battery life vs 5000. The PA MD ADS is cheaper as well.

The SPARC II looks good and does have a decent warranty.

It's a solid optic that won't steer you wrong. I just prefer the reticule of the TA01. Just zero it properly to get the full value out of the BDC and you'll be good. I use a 25 meter M4 battle sight zero target which simulates a human silhouette at 300 meters. Use the top of the vertical post as POA/POI on the silhouette at 25 meters. then take it out to 100 and the top of the chevron will be your POA/POI after than reconfirm out to 300 meters.
