This is Wadi Shab, Oman. It hosts the second-longest consecutive valley in the Arabian Peninsula, surpassed only by Jebel Ali. It hosts some water sources, 200-foot drops, and plenty of places to hide. It's arid, hot, and about two hours from the nearest major city (Muscat).
A local terrorist organization has taken a group of travelers for ransom and a US-Omani NGO is looking for a volunteer rescue group to go in and get them out there.
Using only the equipment you have in your household right now, would you feel well-equipped and skilled enough to take on this task?
To assist, you can pick one of the three following items:
1. Satellite images of the approximate locations of terrorists
2. A comedic-relief interpreter to assist you
3. One more firearm (with as many gizmos, whizbangs, and doo-hickeys as your heart desires), provided by the American taxpayer.
What do you say, /k/? Think you could do it?

I pick up a laser designator, set it up on a vantage point overlooking the camp. I aim it right at the center of the camp. Walk into camp smiling and waving.
