I'm not saying that the UK has the most Aesthetic ships (they generally are). But come on, compared to Russian rust buckets, wouldn't you agree that the neo modern lines of British destroyers are far more pleasing to the eyes than Russian ship builders? It's like they just throw stuff into a boat and hope it works.

Gorshkov and Steregushchy classes look far better than the Daring class.

On Russian build carriers, Russian vessels have always been a mess and that's why we are focusing on indigenous stuff. Like the 90% of all the Frigates and Destroyers are Indian made now in Navy.

Also our main concern is Pookistan and China and Chinese navy is more suckier than ours

>There's a good reason no-one takes you seriously, mostly anyone who's ever worked with Indians.

daily reminder the modern "stealth" ships with their sleek sides and very modern looks all originate from the french Lafayette class light frigates (FLF).

And back then everyone was finding these stupid. Until they aknowledged that, once again, the french were right.

You can therefore gently put your misplaced pride in your butthole where it belongs.

Cheerio bong.
>>
>>31763484

>all originate from the french Lafayette class light frigates (FLF).

Except they weren't, you think the French were the only ones who figured that out? Talk about misplaced self importance.

> Until they aknowledged that, once again, the french were right.

I'll take a "things that didn't happen", Richard.

The US had reduced RCS concepts already either in service or in testing a decade before the first La-Fayette was even launched. Sea Shadow was already a thing. Arleigh Burke has RCS technology in it. Everyone already knew about it from planes.

La-Fayette had nothing to do to influence other nations, the technology never originated from it. Every other major nation had already figured it out themselves and either had already build some or were just waiting for their own programs to start to put it into production.

Sure thing. Prove it.

>le Sea shadow meme.
prototype catamaran. Not single hulled boat. Never operational. Never commissioned. Try again.

>le arleight burke stealth
Dude have you ever seen an arleigh burke ? It's full of fucking external non-integrated stuff goddamit.

>La-Fayette had nothing to do to influence other nations
Which is why everyone began to issue boats having this layout WAY after 1996, which is exactly when the Lafayette entered service. You are so deluded it's delightful.

The Type 23 brit frigates were originally supposed to be stealth, except thanks to the continuous adding of external equipments they ended having classical layout.

What are Type 26 ? What are type 45 ? Exactly what the type 23 was supposed to be. Except these were commissioned just a few years ago, 20 YEARS after the Lafayette. TWENTY. FUCKING. YEARS.

Believe it or not the Horizon program was originally a french/italian/british program. Only the french and italians continued this program. Well the british engineers told their french counterparts : "do not do the same mistakes we did, plan your dimensions to keep everything inside that's the key."

Everyone else thought it was a dead end. Hence why the first fully integrated masture US ships are only getting out of docks today : the LCS and Zumwalt.

Meanwhile, everyone else took the train en route AFTER the commissioning of the Lafayette frigates. Which were the first stealth OPERATIONAL ships to feature this level of discretion.

France first commissioned and operational stealth ship : Lafayette : 1996
Sweden's first commissioned and operational stealth ship : Visby : 2000
Russia's first commissioned and operational stealth ship : Guepard (project 11661) : 2003
China's first commissioned and operational stealth ship : type 22 : 2004
Britain's first commissioned and operational stealth ship : type 45 : 2009
Germany's first commissioned and operational stealth ship : F-125 : 2014

TL;DR : i'm right, you're wrong.
>>
>>31764013

Burden of proof motherfucker, you claimed that La-Fayette was the design inspiration and basis for all others. All you're saying is IT WAS LAUNCHED FIRST NYAH NYAH and not actually showing any evidence that its design influenced other countries.

I'd like to see proof from every such nation then that they based it on La-Fayette.

>prototype catamaran. Not single hulled boat. Never operational. Never commissioned. Try again.

So now we're pretending that just because it wasn't in service means that the US didn't learn how to use RCS from it? Are you actually a fucking retard? It was a technology demonstrator, they knew about how to reduce RCS decades before. The same goes for almost any country.

>Dude have you ever seen an arleigh burke ? It's full of fucking external non-integrated stuff goddamit.

Meanwhile in reality, what constitutes radar cross section isn't based on your personal opinion but actually hard maths. Sorry if it doesn't look effeminate and smooth for your tastes, but thats how it works.

>Except these were commissioned just a few years ago, 20 YEARS after the Lafayette.

It's almost like developing a ship thats barely more than an enlarged OPV is faster to develop or something than a top end AAW destroyer. Who knew.

And in which world do you live in where all projects start and end equally? RCS is one of the SMALLEST developments in these modern ships. Other countries had bigger focuses for their budgets at the time, or the current ships didn't need replacing until much later. The Duke class for example is still very capable even today, so its replacement wasn't a priority.

>Believe it or not the Horizon program was originally a french/italian/british program.

You say this like it isn't common knowledge.

> Only the french and italians continued this program

Because the Brits correctly decided the Horizon didn't meet their requirements for anti-air warfare (it doesn't even have a fucking AESA) and went off to build something better.
>>
>>31764013

>prototype catamaran. Not single hulled boat. Never operational. Never commissioned. Try again.

Do you seriously think that nations immediately build ships as soon as they discover one new technology and that if they weren't the very first that means that everyone else just copied them and use their tech?

Countriers make ships when they need the new ships, and whatever technology they've developed in the meantime will likely get put into it. It just so happened France needed its patrol boats and thus put the tech into them.

Thats a literal "it's fucking nothing" outcome. The only people who harp it up are frogs trying to shill French still endlessly on /k/.

This is why your opinion will never be relevant. This just right there.

Fact :
1996, the Lafayette is commissioned and operational. Way before other programs of this kind.

Deal with it faggots.

I don't blame you personnaly though, in a stupid youtube doc about stealth ships that was full of pics of the Lafayette, the host NEVER talked about it, and he must have been 50 years old.

So I can't blame 15 y/o anglo kiddies for a deficience that is linked to their own race.
