Seeing how a lone Kirov is basically useless against a CSG, it would do no damage. A Kirov can't exactly see OTH. A swarm of Super Hornets can easily saturate it with Harpoons by flying low and popping over the horizon.

A Kirov is very blind compared to a CSG. There's no universe where 3 helicopters will spot a CSG before the vast air wing spots and wipe the defenseless helicopters.

Also, there is ALWAYS some submarines under Kuznetsov. Usually it's Oscar II.

I don't think Granits can stand up to modern USN AD, and there's just 20 of them.
If they rebuild it like Nakhimov and they operate together and get some cool escorts they could maybe saturate CBG defenses. Or if they could achieve surprise, but knowing how CBG operates that's unlikely.

However, Kirov can be part of a force that compels the CSG to stay far out at sea, so long as it can stay under the cover of land-based air power and SAMs, particularly if it can use geography to protect itself (like staying in the Sea of Okhosk or the Black Sea)
