How long does it take to dig tunnels like this?
How physically laborous is it?
About tree fiddy.
>>31725707
An appropriate amount of time.
Yes.
Calling moleman, I know it's not that late in canada
>>31725744
He's in 'Berta, so he should still be around.
>>31725707
Depends on how many people you have.
But it sucks ass regardless.
>combat engineer for 8 years.
>>31725707
>How long does it take to dig tunnels like this?
Depends on the size, hard to tell from the pic. Probably a good couple days all day.
>How physically laborous is it?
Extremely.
>>31725707
When your religion bans fun and somehow manages to unite the rest of the world for a few moments through their desire to bomb you back even further than your self-imposed stone age, you've got nothing but time to do shit like this.
MOLEMAN WE SUMMON YOU
>>31725707
Not long with slave labor.
>>31725707
>How long does it take to dig tunnels like this?
>How physically laborous is it?
It depends on the ground and soil type, the time of year, the weather, your tools, how fit your are, determination and willpower, if you have people helping, if you can just toss the dirt somewhere, the method you are planning to use to support the dirt ceiling, all kinds of stuff.
>>31725707
Moleman we have need of your autistic expertise
>>31725707
That's a pretty well dug tunnel. Nicly square, straight walls, excellent mouse hole
I rat it 10/10. Vietcong could learn some new moves
Moleman plz come
It'l obviously take more time if youre doing it in secret, but i dont know by how much
>>31725798
VC tunnel systems were very effective
>>31725707
Just curious here. What would happen if you put a shit load of explosives down there, sealed it, then kaboom? Would the pressure collapse the tunnel?
>>31725833
I wonder what It would really feel like to fall into a spike pit and get impaled in 4 different places
>>31725882
It would be extremely painful
i'm so claustrophobic that i'd rather be hiding in some bushes/tall grass while the enemy advances.
>>31726191
I would imagine so
>>31726191
you can handle it, your a pretty big guy.
>>31725882
It's called punji. Not just spikes but spikes covered in shit and piss. Designed to cause nast life threatening and often deadly infections.
>>31725882
pointedly surprising
it'd be shitty
that's why you use slaves
>>31726233
For you
What't the easiest way to clear these out if you're a faggot and don't care about muh human rights? CS gas?
>>31725758
Isn't Islam baffling? How do they manage to convince people with their doctrines of no fun and killing yourself and murder??? What's the appeal.
I guess digging a fucking hole counts as fun in that culture.
>>31726311
Flamethrower, if you are a flamer.
>>31726311
*if you're not
Fuck me.
>>31726311
The Soviets used gasoline in WWII. CS gas is illegal, but gasoline is fine.
>>31725707
Unnaground thread?
>>31726311
Fill it with any gas heavier than air that contains no carbon dioxide and they won't even know they are suffocating.
AWAKEN MY MOLEMAN
The funniest part of ISIS is that overnight they stole North Korea's title of least likeable regime. It was all they had. YOU TOOK EVERYTHING FROM THEM BAGHDADI
>>31725833
So are thermobaric bombs.
>>31727032
And bunker busters as well. But you can't hit what you can't see.
>>31725882
>wonder what it's like to be impaled in 4 places.
Ask your mother.
>>31725882
>>31725833
The punji wasn't invented by the Viets. Anyway, it'd hurt, but the danger is the infection afterwards. Some traps are worse because the sticks point downwards, and if you get caught in it you can't just take your foot out.
>>31725838
Just pour Phosgene gas down the tunnels. problem solved.
>>31726324
Counter-culture.
People in the Civilised West are tired of it all and want to try something different.
Kinda like how feminist say that Islam is the only religion that appeals to thier feminist ideals.
>>31726253
Reminds me, I loved in the book Chickenhawks how he talks about having to abandon a damaged helicopter in a field and come back for it later.
Vietnamese found it, but they weren't sure how to really disable a helicopter so they just smeared shit all over everything
>>31726324
I can see it in terms of recruiting fighters.
I mean sure, there's a bunch of shitty rules and you have to kill yourself. But to Hahkmed living in a shit-poor village with nothing to do but fuck goats, it's still an upgrade. And supposedly you'll get mad pussy forever afterwards
>>31726324
I am certainly more baffled with how different Islam is on my side of the globe. They all seem to just live the normal life here, well, the city folks seem to.
>he doesnt even unnaground
depends on what youre digging in thiccfucc
>>31725707
Just wing it and go slowly.
Seems to work alright for my little bro.
>>31725766
Underrated post
>>31725707
Depends on how many people you have digging, and what equipment you have
>>31727772
Good book anon
>>31727834
Most of the American Muslims I meet in college are like American Christians:
They say they are Muslim, but only act like it when their parents are around. They otherwise do nothing for it, like go to mosque.
>>31728460
I'm curious what the rate of radicalization is. Many of the Islamic terror attacks in North America were perpetrated by individuals who were born here.
We also have a sizable number defecting to Syria.
>>31728668
People who are already vulnerable because of a learning disability, or easily swayed are more susceptible to being radicalised online(where most of it is done).
They are then groomed into committing a terrorist act. They usually have very little in the way of people supporting them and they go unnoticed. They plan it and as there is no one around to see the change in them and they only ever talk to random goat fuckers online they aren't noticed until it's too late.
>>31728751
Forgot to say. These are often white people and are only just finding Islam and are open to the extreme interpretation of IS etc.
>>31726191
you're a big guy
>>31725707
They use machinery for large tunnels you fucking retard
>>31728751
And that's why radical philosophies are so dangerous, because recruits are everywhere. Gasoline cans in human form walk amongst us, waiting for a spark.
You can screen a man's passport. You can screen his luggage. You can screen his background, his medical history, his social media activity. But you can't screen his heart.
>>31725707
it depends on the earth hardness and outside temperature, tools used and determination
the pic would take at least several days of hard labor
So if I wanted to go unnaground what would be a good place to start some research? Any handbooks on the subject?
>>31729915
Just wing it and go slowly
>>31725838
Using a thermobaric would incinerate shit, AND use up the air inside.
>>31725833
The textbook illustrations have always made those look so fucking cozy, all well-lit and organized, with comfy sleeping rooms and shit with clean bedsheets on the triple-layer bunk bed.
>>31729176
Last time Germany had a terror problem, they released an exhaustive study of every guy they caught, what they did in life, every single data point about all of them was crunched to shit. The final conclusion was that there was no way to detect a terror suspect without also detecting several million perfectly fine people. The only common thread with terrorists, is that they make acts of terror.
>>31726311
US marines used flamethrowers on caves in the pacific.
>>31726324
>How do they manage to convince people with their doctrines of no fun and killing yourself and murder???
With promises of sex in the afterlife.
>>31730029
>The final conclusion was that there was no way to detect a terror suspect without also detecting several million perfectly fine people
Pretty sure they didn't just detect them, they got rid of them too.

Take a look how these guys are constructing samekind of shelter/tunnel. You see how laborous it is and also what technics to use. Still, nothing impossible.
>>31725767
This guy gets a gold star.
Ground control is another thing to keep in mind. Genreally the easier ground is to dig through the more work you have to put into preventing ground falls. There are exceptions to this but as a general guide it's a good one.
The ground in OP'S pic looks like a bitch to dig through but appears stable and self supporting. I'd still want to timber the ribs and back for added stability because fighting tunnel.
>>31725707
>How long does it take to dig tunnels like this?
See >>31725715
>How physically laborous is it?
It's digging a fucking tunnel, have you ever dug a hole OP?
Fuck where are these people coming from.
>>31725882
>>31726191
>I wonder what It would really feel like to fall into a spike pit
More painful than you can imagine, for several hours, then it wouldn't hurt at all.
>>31726266
3/10, but you tried anon
>>31727281
>wonder what it's like to be impaled in 4 places.
>Ask your mother.
Very nicely done.
>>31734255
glad to know you cared.
>>31726266
>>31727692
Shit man, I attend a fairly liberal uni and even the SJW's here don't believe that.
>>31725833
>rains a week straight
>entire tunnel flooded
>>31725752
>'Berta
Fuck you that pissed me off
>>31725882
Not good
>>31727692
no
its about contribution to something greater than your own self and society - in religious cases its about a different plane of existence outside of the world
humans are very spiritual animals
>>31730029
yeah, a citation or that's total bullshit there anon.
>>31734672
wat are water levels
>>31734435
I care anon, I care a lot. Just call me carebear
>>31727801
>>31730473
supposedly the word usually translated as "virgins" actually refers to some sort of angelic beings who don't fuck anything, including the spirits of the dead
>>31734933
Alright I had to go to JSTOR to find a French review of what I believe to be the correct series, translate it to German, then found it on Amazon because those motherfuckers sell everything.
https://www.amazon.de/Analysen-zum-Terrorismus-Ideologien-Strategien/dp/3531115693/ref=sr_1_4?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1476935405&sr=1-4&keywords=Analysen+zum+terrorismus
I see references to this behemoth semi-regularly but never gaved upon it beofre.
Of course it might just be a different multi-volume analysis of terrorists published at the same time, my German is rusty.
