Anyone have the clear Lancer AWM mags? I bought 3 to go with the 4 smoke translucent and 2 FDE translucent I have, but for whatever reason the clear ones are the only ones that don't drop free when full. The other colors basically fly out of the magwell.

Any rail that requires timing shims to install is laaaaaaaaaame.

The old school URX made sense from the perspective of arming professionals: lightweight, strong design... whos only downfalls are cost and expensive proprietary tools... but who cares when you are arming 12-2000 people.

The URX's performance is great, it's logistical suitability for onesie twosie consumers though is lacking. I have a URX tool and do a ton of installs and uninstalls professionally so i'm not too upset about it. The URX 4 however, is kinda blegh. KAC obviously listened to the bitching and tried to design a solution for everyone.

Standard for 6x45 is 1:9, with guns designed for the higher end of the bullet spectrum (100+gr) being 1:8. Since the standard 6x45 loads are 75-90gr bullets with the heaviest that's able to be loaded to mag-length being the 105gr Berger boattail (not VLD), which all still stabilize in 1:8 barrels, literally why would you go for a 1:7 and fuck over your ability to shoot <80gr bullets?

The competition AEK kit, it's light. Probably too light for a carry piece, I have a propensity to unconsiously doubletap almost everything that gets really light, and this gun will absolutely do it if you aren't 100% focused on your trigger control.

I've got 223/556 and 300blk. 223 is perfectly acceptable if you use the correct bullet. We use 62gr Barnes and rarely do they run more than 40 yards. It's like 2 hops and a drop. This year I might try 62gr Federal Fusion and a neck shot. It groups very well so far, but I'll make a decision this weekend. I also have 70gr barnes to test.

300blk is awesome for deer. You have wonderful 110 and 125gr bullets to use, like 110 Barnes TTSX and 125gr Hornady SSTs and Sierra soft points.
