So if you guys HAD to cc a revolver at all times day and night. What would you choose and in what caliber? I would prefer to keep this somewhat serious.
*Bonus points
You can't use a holster
>>
>>31632451
If i can't use a holster it wont be serious. If i had to have one revolver it would be a k frame in 357

a Fitzed Colt Detective Special that could take .38spl+P.

Cut trigger guard, bobbed hammer, small grips.
>>
>>31632621
Why cut trigger guard
>>
A 4" manurhin obv with 125gr 357s or 180gr hard casts for hiking.

I do carry a jframe 135gr 38+p everyday as it is.

Why the fuck not nigger?
>>
>>31632671
Pocket carry like fucking bogart or some shit. Just because. Also bonus points
>>
>>31632651
From a bygone era while the jury was still out about keeping your finger off the trigger slowing you down too much. The idea was so the trigger guard wasn't in the way to slow you finger down and you can keep you finger off the trigger at the same time. Popular with law enforcement.

I will say my finger has gotten hung up a couple of times practicing quick draws with my jframe, bad grip is the biggest factor there.
>>
If I had to have something that would fit any style of clothing and/or give multiple options for carry (pocket, ankle, belt), the obvious answer is a J-Frame. A S&W 642 or a 638 without a lock would suffice, though a M&P 340 without a lock would be preferred.

If the gun's going to live in an IWB holster, I'd think hard about a 3" K-Frame with a heavy barrel and a round butt. A 2" gun would be fine as well.

Load it with 148gr wadcutters if it's a lightweight J-Frame or Gold Dots if it's a K-Frame. BobMacs for an IWB holster, Kramer for a pocket holster. Carrying without a holster is dumb.
>>
>>31632651

Quick to get your finger in the trigger guard, plus it works better if you're wearing gloves or have huge dickbeater hands.
>>
>>31632451
I'd use a Smith and Wesson 500. For bonus points, I'd pretend it was my dick and appendix carry it in my underwear.

Seriously, I would go with some Dan Wesson .357 for that interchangeable barrel. 2 inch with .38 special for carry, .357 with 4 or 6 inch for out of town stuff.

Not seriously, same thing but with a Mateba 2006m.

>>31632651

It saves drawin' time, but don't wear it when you're drunk or you'll kill your feet.

>>31632621

This but S&W. (cylinder release is already drilled into me)

Chiappa rhino. Either a 4inch version or the snubby 2 inch. Light, almost non existent recoil from a .38, or .38-like recoil in .357. Not to mention snazzy looking.

Inb4 anyone comes in saying "too complicated", check your privilege. There's only one extra piece internally compared to a normal revolver. Yes Chiappa Customer Service sucks donkey dick too, but their rhinos are pretty solid.
>>
Ruger SP101 in .327

Model 327 TRR8 S&W with some tritium sights.
>>
Taurus 608, S&W 608 or really anything that has those sweet sweet 8 round cylinders.
>>31632804 has the right idea

I could also go for a hand nugget and sacrifice 1 round for more concealibility alongside the ability to use a suppressor.
>>
>>31632838
S&W 627*
It's late and I'm tired maaaan

I went with a bulldog in 44spl

Wouldn't carry without a holster of some kind, those wallet ones actually tend to work pretty well for smaller guns pocket unless you buy a fucked up cut of pants
seems kinda dumb and irresponsible to just throw it in a pocket
>>
>>31632730
As a former owner of a Rhino, DA is like dragging your balls through a mile of sandy broken lightbulbs. Prolly good carry gun though. Sure why not.
>>
>>31632924
Really? I hadn't heard of the trigger being that bad. Can't that be smoothed out by a gunsmith? And didn't they come out with lighter trigger models for "competition" shooters?

Un-fucking-fourtunately even though I live near Dayton, not a single damn gunstore has a rhino. NOT A SINGLE ONE. Said something like since everyone hated the company no distributers carry them, so I have no handling experience.

How'd you find it?
>>
>>31632977
It can probably be smoothed out by a gunsmith a bit. Holy shit though, the one I had was gritty as fuck. For what was an $800 gun at the time, that's outrageous.

My LGS got a bunch of them in at one point. He sold a few of them before he either stopped stocking them or couldn't get them anymore.
>>
>>31632977

The trigger is not that bad, or at least not on the one I've used. I would say its almost like reverse stacking. It starts out heavy and seems to get lighter as you pull, but not gritty.
>>
>>31633015
They go for about $740 around here if someone special orders it. But for that price it still better be fucking perfect. Retail seems to be about $850-1000 online. Which is outrageous.

Most areas here are the same way. Had it for a while, but only a one off. Never got them in again. Most can't even order them since their distributor won't get them anymore. How was shooting it?
>>
>>31633077
I had a 2" snubby.
.357 was tough to sustain for very long. .38 was fine.
Mostly that owes to the weird grip though. It has more of a straight angle on it than most revolvers. For me it seemed to put a lot of stress on the hand with repeated firing, but you could probably get used to that.

The longer versions look a lot heavier, and would probably shoot great. The design is there in the 2", but it lacks the mass to really soak up all that energy the way a 4" or 6" would. I haven't gotten my hands on any of the longer ones, but I'd like to.
>>
>>31632451
Fuck bonus points, I ain't a nigger

also a Ruger LCR in 9mm, what's the point of .357 in a snub nose?
>>
>>31632777

well, it's probably tiny anyway so it's not like it'd be a loss
>>
>>31632451
I already do. Ruger LCR .38 Special +P in my right front pocket, loaded with Hornady Critical Defense 110gr +P.

seriously though I'd give my left nut for one in 44 magnum.
