I was cleaning my glock 19 gen 4 and noticed a thin scratch near the firing channel, when I looked at it closer it was more than a scratch but also had a slight indention, is this on all glocks? I was wondering if you guys who had glocks could check and see if you had the same mark

I'm on my phone so can't circle it with paint or anything, but it's the white hairline looking scratch, it looks like just a scratch but it also has a slight indention bc when I scraped it with my glock tool it didn't go straight across smoothly but caught on it
>>
Take it to a gunsmith man or use the warranty if it's still good

Don't want to risk it being a hairline crack and comprimising the gun.
>>
Not normal. Buy a new one/10

That’s the real issue here.

Don't have the money for a new one :(

What would a gunsmith do? I don't have is the warranty in the instruction manually? I bought it in a private sale. Guy was a glock armorer, then gun was brand new when he sold it to me.

he means buy a new slide
call glock about it and if you luck out they'll replace it for free
normal warranty is 1 year but you never know what the guy on the other end will say
>>
Actually that spot is directly where the extractor sits, I think it's normal

send glock email with picture

do you dry fire without snap caps? It might be a cracked breach face.

You have to dry fire to disassemble the gun, so no
>>

I only dry fire when I disassemble, also the little scratch on the breach face isn't what I'm talking about, that's just a scratch or machine mark, there's no indention on the breach face, just beside it where the extractor sits

My G19 gen4 looks like that too
>>
It looks to be left over from machining. Shouldn't be a problem but you can contact glock or if you dont have warranty just use 1000 grit sandpaper and polish it.

I just took my G19 gen 4 to take a look for you, OP.

Looks like I have a slight scratch there but nothing as noticeable as yours. I haven't put much ammo through mine but it's mostly been steelcase. I'd post a pic but it's so slight it doesn't show up in photos.

I'd call glock and ask about it.
