Bolt actions and other stuff are fine for the hobby, recreational hunter that shoots a couple of times a year, I do professional culling of pigs, goats, deer and a variety of other invasive species. So I use high capacity semi-autos for the simple reason that we deal with plague proportions of feral animals beyond the point of what anyone in the cities can comprehend. The damage the do to the environment and agriculture is vast, expensive and in some cases is going to cause extinctions of some types of flora and already putting a lot of our native fauna on the brink of extinction.

The only natural predator to these things is us and we're the reason they're here, so it is our responsibility to manage our country, protect native species and leave something for the next generation.

I'm mid-north coast of NSW, but I do culling from there as far north west as Narrabri-Moree and about as far south as Canberra. Most of my stuff is on either council, state land and national parks along with a dozen or so farms, including my own. Qld, lot of the country out west towards Charleville, Blackall and Longreach region has had some major fox and pig infestations over the years- though crossing borders and the laws with guns is pretty difficult so I've not been there for about 20 odd years. I've got a 4x32 scope from them on my air rifle and I've tried some of their mounts. Scope is decent, zero doesn't go to shit. Glass is ok.

Mounts were pretty bad and the recoil on my Benjamin Titan was enough to snap the pin and crack the base.
