My grandfather is getting up in years and is growing more and more fragile, but still wants to hunt.
What's the lightest recoiling 12ga out there? Assuming it's with slugs. Doesn't have to be stock, can include aftermarket additions obviously.
Pls no aa12

Something with a knoxx stock and long barrel, but at that point I'd just say get him a 16 or 20 gauge. Those are still more than enough for hunting unless you plan on taking down big ass bucks.

What's he hunting? Is bowhunting an option? Those really expensive compound bows can get pretty light draw weights while still packing a good punch.
>>31597373
consider a 20 gauge? you're not losing a lot of power in exchange for the recoil reduction

Whatever it is would have to be really heavy.
what's he want to hunt? If it's just deer he could use pic related. 7.62x39, five round magazine.

And of course I forget the pic
In Illinois?
Benjiman air bow.
Or a 20 ga with a mercury recoil buffer in the stock

probably any nice semi auto.

Benelli M4 is going to be the right answer, but it's expensive (really expensive just to keep from bruising an old dude). Any semi-auto is going to soak up some recoil. The gun rags say that the remington Versa Max does the best job between the gas system and the cushioned stock.
20ga pump.
Limbsaver pad
Mercury recoil reducer plug( get the heaviest you can 8+oz or better)

Get him a semi auto in 20 gauge.

As others have noted, why not a 16 or 20? What sort of budget are we working with? Does he have any weird preferences like "no remshit" or similar?

Not in all states mate, for example Iowa doesn't have a rifle season other than muzzle loader.
