The hurricane near Florida has me thinking - hurricanes do shit tons of damage, right? Katrina cost billions of dollars and killed thousands of people and if this one hits it'll do similar amounts of damage.
Why not make use of them instead of letting them hit us? If we could somhow catch the hurricane and keep it stored up, we could release it on Syria or release it on China/Russia if there's a huge war. That way we wouldn't have to deal with the hurricane damage and the hurricane would really fuck pu their shit. Is there an easy way to do this?
No.

maybe if we had the capability to harness the entire world's weather. If we had that kind of power, we wouldn't have to worry about russia or china at all.
>>31588164
well, that's a good question - why don't we have that kind of power? The US is the most advanced country in the world, we could probably start working on this

What?
>>31588175
HAARP

So sheer incompetence?

Who says we dont make them?
>>31588154
You know what op, that's not a bad idea.
If we turned pretty much all of the east coast into a wind farm, with incredibly over engineered wind turbines, we could catch the hurricane and store it as electricity. Then, we go to wherever we want hurricane winds to fuck shit up and basically build a replica of the wind farms back in the USA. When we use the electricity we generated from the hurricane to power the new wind farm, they will push the wind and make a land hurricane.
Plus, whatever electricity we don't use to make land hurricanes, we can use to make tendies.
>>31588175
We do but so do other established governments. HAARP works off standing waves and is slow as shit. That means it's easy to stop an attack.
>>31588154
Where would we store a 250 mile in diameter hurricane?
>>31589965
Michigan
Just build a wall around it and hold it still in the gulf to gain power. Then just point it towards Mexico.

ur mom's cunt

The problem is they don't make nets that big. We have smaller ones for catching tornadoes, But for something the size of a hurricane or a big blizzard, we'd have to tie a bunch of the tornado nets together, and that compromises the structural integrity too much to be viable

A perfectly good thread died so you could post this. You're a monster.
>>31588154
Science. How does that shit work anyway?
We can defeat the hurricane if we shoot it enough

i mean 30 years ago phones were the size of bricks and now theyre super small
we could just miniaturize it
