In a nuclear war scenario, how many silo personnel do you think would refuse to turn their key?
>>31555280
i have no idea
>>31555280
None, it's literally their job. The commander might refuse to give the order that has happened before in the past. But the people turning the key would do it or someone else would.
Probably depends on the target.
>>31555290
I would be the first guy to brain the pacifist with the nearest blunt object. I mean, you really only get one opportunity to participate in nuclear war. Hell fucking yeah I'd turn that key.
Also take the opportunity to say the most ironic thing you can think of.
"This one's for Mother Nature"
Proceed to bathe the Earth in radiation.
>>31555310
Shouldn't you be in class right now?
>>31555280
I think it kind of stands to reason that you don't put people on the job who tend to have long-winded introspective debates on the ethical ramifications of a nuclear exchange.
Also it's a real good way to get fucking shot by people who aren't tender little daisies and don't want to miss out on the only oportunity to retaliate against the fucker who decided it's a good idea to break everything for everyone.
Can't some of the missiles be remotely launched from the looking glass planes?
Opp, if you're out ther could you answer this?
>>31555280
>personally be willing to turn the key
>the other guy isn't and tries to kill you
doesn't fucking matter does it
dead hand, cunt.
>>31555321
Last time I went they told me I wasn't allowed to play doctor with the first graders.
I stay outside and look in from the window, now.
>>31555331
He's gone, mate.
Let him go.
You've got to move on
>FOGBANK
>>31555310
>>31555280
Probably none. There have been studies on this. People do questionable shit when an authority is telling them it's ok.
>>31555280
Someone was telling me they used to run dummy drill all the time and wouldn't tell the missile crews.
>>31555325
This anon has the right idea... you psych test the fuck out of your potential key turners & make sure you have people who will do their job.
>>31555280
None. we do drills regularly. anyone who refuses to turn the key if it's authentic is fucking out and the air force's bitch to stuff in whatever hellhole worse than minot they can come up with.
>>31555310
My man....
"Peanut butter jelly time!" As I start WW3
>>31555414
>>31555426
Probably this. You just do enough drills to make turning the key as commonplace as taking a sip of coffee, and shitcan everyone who gets second thoughts so that the only people who remain are the ones who do as they're told 100% of the time.
Then one day they turn the key and the missiles actually fly. Kinda wish I could see their expressions at that point.

>why hate them
They have a Deadhand system, so that all of humanity will be wiped out simply out of spite

Something like this. Then we wait to see if we're the lucky fuckers elected to receive a 150 foot deep crater on a 75 foot deep shelter
