I don't know, unless you somehow stuff a C5 with a dora cannon or make it a missile of missiles truck or give it a GAU-8 propulsion...

The only ways to improve the AC-130 is by making it cheaper(CASA-235), faster(any other CAS solution) or more protected from SPAAG/SAM(for this weight/volume ratio it might only be achievable my creating the stratospheric door gunner)

Turboprops are more efficient at (relatively) slow speeds. Commercial aircraft use turbofans because they're quieter.
