QC/QA issues are a thing. The actions are gritty and horribly machined and fitted compared to a classic Marlin. I would strongly recommend searching for an older Marlin lever gun if you really want one.
If you get this new one, you'll be satisfied until you get to shoot an older one that's actually made the way it should be. It's a night and day difference in tangible quality.

Same rifle but 18.5in barrel.

When i was first researching, i was looking at the cb, and then while looking at availability on gallery of guns, i noticed the cba existed, i went the next morning to my gun shop, asked to order it and they said they had some in stock already. One had a canted barrel, the other had a stiff lever. I went with the bad lever since i could fix that. After a field strip, turns out the lever came from factory shitty, warped metal and such. I kept it as is for a few range trips, then i replaced it with a wildwest big loop and trigger. Replacing the lever made it 100%.

Ammo is expensive fyi. About 50$ a box of 20. I bought 400 rounds to keep at home. And when i go to the range i just grab a box from the store.

Btw wildwest loop and trigger are worth it

I didnt invest in buying leverevolution because the brass casings are smaller than normal size so difficult to reload.

Are you dumb or just memeing right now? I ask because that isn't what he implied or was suggesting. If the "old one" is beat up it A: won't cost more money and B: shouldn't be hard to find anyway. If you have an older one in good condition versus something manufactured today there is a significant difference in quality.

If you want what you think a 45-70 lever will give you, there are far superior options

Idk senpai, there's just something cool about old cartridges. I want to buy a levergat in .45-70 but I'd need to get into reloading at the same time to keep the cost down. I can't go to the range, pop off only 20 rounds and be happy.
