So, /k/, I've been wondering about the .357 SIG. Haven't been hearing a lot about it. Is there any specific reason for that or is it just a good round which didn't get it's spot in the limelight?

Expensive caliber
There are very few guns chambered in it so it stays niche. It's the same thing that limits 5.7x28.

But aren't there conversions made for it? There's pretty much nothing chambered for the 9x25 Dillon but there's conversions for it.

It never had the market share and not enough major agencies adopted it. It's claim to fame is penetration and so some highway patrol agencies adopted it thinking they may need to shoot through cars.
If you want a more powerful gun for some reason, hiking, or whatever, but you don't want to carry anything bigger than a Glock 19/23, then the .357sig does make sense.
Ammo is expensive and increasingly hard to find.

I wanted a SIG pistol chambered in .357 SIG. Then I realized that basically only a handful of SIG pistols are chambered for it. If the company isn't even supporting it well, then don't.
I EDC a .357 sig. Love the fuck out of it.

It's in a weird niche, pretty much everyone who cares enough to want better performance than a 9mm or a .40 buys a 10mm. Pretty good round though, just a faster 9mm, bottleneck design cuts down on feeding issues, fuckhuge fireballs, etc.

Pretty much everyone who makes a .40 offered\offers a .357sig version
>>31517726
It's just a barrel swap for any .40S&W

They offer\offered nearly every pistol they make in .357sig. p226, p229, p239, p250, p320, even some of their goddamn 1911s. What the fuck are you talking about?

Yeah, and (in my experience) they're produced in fewer numbers than the serials chambered in "regular" sizes, so cannot actually be purchased easily.
Loud and a bitch to reload... might as well go 9x25 Dillon...

I can literally find any model of SIG in .357 SIG available online right now, some dealers are out of stock in some models, some in others, but they're all out there.
It seems like one gun store maybe didn't have one in stock and you just like to spew shit on the internet. Or you just like to spew shit on the internet. Stop spewing shit on the internet, there's enough of it already.
Where dat gif from?
You can shoot .357 sig through a .40 s&w barell, it just doesn't feed properly and have to manually cock it every time
