That is true however as we all know, politics is downstream from culture and with the stranglehold the media has on the public opinion on the issue it won't be long until law fully reflects that and we see funs banned solely for their looks while others with the same capabilities are fine.

I like 10mm a lot, but consider this:

10mm at its top end has the same energy as standard .357 Magnum
.460 Rowland at its top end has the same energy as standard .44 Magnum

Both cartridges have pistols made to accept ~15 round magazines, which is a reasonable capacity for a defensive pistol. You can get slightly higher capacity 10mm magazines but not by much.

The only question is how much hand cannon you want.

I was really digging Tanfoglios Gold Match and the Sig 220 but they are both single stacks. 8 rds in the Sig and 11 in the Longslide CZ-Clone. That's .45 1911 capacity, not really impressive.

Okay, 10mm is a fantastic round.

It's also more expensive and harder to come by than 9mm and it comes in a larger heavier less comfortable and harder to conceal gun than 9mm.
9mm for first gun.
9mm for EDC in town.
10mm for being awesome or going hiking/camping or even winter carry.

Just remember that you're on a shit posting board with people who know fuck all but memes about guns. You can shoot 40 out of a 10mm with no issues whatsoever. Buy the glock and use 40s to practice. Then get some full power 10 mm loads for hunting.... If i could go back and do it again I would have gotten 10mm over 40.

I've carried a Glock 29 (same dimensions as a Glock 30). It was too big and heavy for comfortable carry, especially in summer or doing outdoor activities like jogging or biking.

Now I have a 1911 in 10mm for camping and a single stack 9mm for EDC. It works out great.

Without knowing what capacity you'll use the gun in, this question cannot best be answered but I can make some assumptions.
