there's not many threads on here about optics
anyone have any experience with these? thinking about picking them up for my scar. doesn't have to be the model with the red dot on top
any recommendations for a good battle rifle scope?
will my scar destroy this thing? 17's are known to eat shit optics
any help would be appreciated. i dont wanna blow 1500-2000 on a scope and have it turned into sand in a year
It's touted as the most durable scope out there, so it should do fine on a 17S. I really enjoy my TA-31F on my SBR; you may want to do a TA-11 for the 17S.

Have a ta31 without the rmr. It's breddy good.
Consider a ta11 or 33 in addition to the 31, you will appreciate the eye relief because of the whole .308 thing. The 31 should still be usable though and has Cadillac widescreen fov.

There legitimate complaints about acogs (overpriced for what they are, reticule bloom in bright environments and shitty tritium illumination in dark environments) but durability is not one of them. They are as robust as an optic gets.
If this is the only thing holding you back from getting one then get one.

*instead of, one optic should be enough.

TA31 ECOS a best
What do people think of Aimpoint Comp's 4MOA red-dots? Good enough for 7.62 AK blinking?

More than good enough

Comp M4s are good for my 5.45 and PTR 32. Should be good for your AKM.

Alright, thanks!
Just got one for less than 200 bucks.

you want a fixed power scope, I would seriously consider the Spectre OS4. It has better eye relief and arguably better glass. OS4 + offset irons or red dot is a versatile setup. I rarely use the intermediate zoom levels on variable scopes so I prefer this setup to cut weight.

with it's shitty mount and external adjustment.
