Good enough for me. I did a little research myself before asking /k/, and I've seen comparable listings for anywhere between 500 to 600.

It's about an average deal. If you like what you see, go for it.
I paid $130+20 for hand select for a Yugo from classicfirearms

People will tell you off saying you can get one cheaper for $300, but that's appears to be an authentic soviet in good condition. I would say $450 is a good deal.

I've seen split opinions so far, which is why I'll probably wait for a QTDDTOT later tonight and ask again. If you just want an SKS, you can find yugos and sinobaians from stores like j&g or whatever for 300-350 still.

I'd take the russian myself though.

I do love them pristine grade A russian sks tho, but it doesn't make up for no AKs

roughly

VZ58 - USA = ~$800 / CAN = $1200

The cheap sks svt & chinkshit (I don't buy that shit) don't make up for everything else. Plus with the restriction on the ars & pistols, there is almost no point to owning them imo

You are not going to find a Russian SKS for less than $450 in ameriland. It's a good deal if you like the idea of having a Russian. The bolt appears to have been refinished, but it could easily be restored to the polished factory condition if you chose.

The cleaning kits are not serial matched to the rife, so you could buy one for a few bucks if he doesn't have it in the buttstock.

For an impulse buy, I would say no. However, if you've been pining for an SKS for some time, I would take the deal. $450 isn't great, but Russian SKSs aren't getting any cheaper. Plus, that's in pretty nice condition.

have you checked russian SKS prices in CA? They are fucking insane. I saw a few sell for 600-800 just last year. I would understand jewing before c&r ftf was done away with (I sold a shitty chinese SKS I got for 180 to a russian dude for 450), but people are willing to pay that much and gave the gun registered via PPT.

I don't know why anyone would pay that much, russian SKSes aren't that rare outside of CA. I guess their LGS jews them with transfers.

A tula refurbished sks was my first gun in 2009

To be honest for 450 I'd just build a parts kit ar15 on a stripped lower.
