Lower bore axis, better designed grip angle unlike the "no you're holding it wrong" Glock, specially designed quick-draw iron sights for an EDC, integrated key lock (integrated with takedown lever), superior stock trigger...
etc

Maybe you like the look of the Gen 1 better?

You need to put a pen or pencil through a hole in the back and depress a button, boo-fuckin'-hoo. That's a non-issue unless you're a sperg who anally disassembles, cleans, and reassembles your gun multiple times each day, and even then, a pencil or pen is nearby, so it's STILL a non-issue.

Stop trying to find things to complain about. It doesn't work.

It's literally better than a stock Glock 17 in every way.

It fits most people's hands super well, points very naturally due to the grip, has a low bore-axis and in return less punishing recoil, hell, the other anon already listed everything that's good about it. Thanks for clearing that up. Glock sights are absolute garbage
>>
My boss is selling his USP 9 compact for $650... it's used but in like new condition, has night sights, holster, and 14 magazines.

The only thing I am on the fence about is the euro style mag release. I have a lot of time on push button style mag releases and don't really want to risk having my muscle memory default to literally a decade of pushing a button in vs depressing a lever down when I really need to switch a magazine out in a stressful situation.

Is it too good of a deal to pass up though?

HK Magazines are more expensive than HP Printer Ink and the entire human organ black market combined.

Probably spent more on the magazines than the gun... and his house.

USP mags retail for around 30-40 dollars. Let's say each one is worth 35 dollars.

35 x 14 = 490.

Used USPs are around 600ish, plus as you said it's in like new condition and has night sites plus a holster.

FUCKING BUY IT HOLY SHIT THAT'S OVER 1K WORTH OF STUFF
As for the magazine release, i'm used to pistols with 'American-style' push-button magazine releases, and, muscle memory wise, there is NO difference. You're usually pushing the magazine release at a downward angle with your thumb, and it feels exactly the same (except with less resistance). It's also ambi, and I prefer to use my index finger on mine just because I find it quicker. It's not as bad as people bitch and moan it is.

Pic unrelated.
>>
>>31371594
Slightly, thanks for posting this picture. I believe it is a very solid gun but personally I do not prefer the appearence which is immature I know. I also admire your passion, which one do you have?
>>
>>31371798
>14 magazines
>and gun
>$650
Sell it after you buy it, churn a profit and buy something that's not HK.
Your boss is an idiot.

He probably bought all those magazines before they were 40$ each and hasn't checked the prices lately.
>>
>>31371798
if you're posting on this forum I assume you're deep enough into this hobby to change the mag in a stressful situation with no problem.

I have a 92s that I'm competent with. just shoot it occasionally and you'll figure it out.
>>
>>31371846
>which one do you have?
Range-buddy has. He gets to shoot my WWII shit, I get to try his new range-toy-of-the-month.

It wasn't the latest gen, but it handled better than his Glock for sure. It's on my CCW-want list since I have no 9mm.
>>
>>31371825
Yeah but that fucking mag release... I know... I must buy it. It's been a few weeks since we've talked about the sale, but I remember doing a rough estimate in my head and thinking the whole package was probably around 1400-1500 new. It's a hell of a deal.

You made me realize the HP printer ink for guns are all the accessories aaaaand the ammo too. Sure you can buy a decent gun for 600, but over time you will spend thousands on ammo and accessories for it. Although it's not all coming from the gun manufacturer necessarily, firearms are subject to a similar price over time scenario. Damn I've spend some money!

Okay I will definitely go for it, I've told him I will buy it and I have the cash. He ought to know that already, he issues my paychecks. He has a decent collection of toys, money isn't a problem for him, he really likes helping others out and I think selling this thing cheap to me is like paying it forward or some shit to him. He's a decent guy, not stupid.

He's also selling this sig, but it's too rich for my blood. He said he'd let it go for about 25% off of what he paid, it's also in excellent condition

On this subject (of paddle mag release):

I shot an HK45 at a local range, and the magazine was droping after every other shot. I thought the gun was a beater, but the RSO came by and watched me shoot it.

I usually hold a pistol with my right thumb low on the grip. I was actually hitting the mag release paddle with my thumb tip when the gun was recoiling! The RSO told me to put my right thumb on the decocker and left hand up farther on the frame. It felt odd, but I could get used to resting my thumb up there.

Imagine you are a black ops OPERATOR OPERATING on a mission deep into enemy territory in a nation that your country isn't officially OPERATING in on a mission so top secret and black ops wetwork that if you are captured your nation will deny knowing about you. You are the tip of the spear, the first and last line of defense against an enemy that OPERATES in the shadows.

You come over a hill, and you see it, a weapon to surpass Metal Gear. You have to destroy it.

Yout get into a fire fight and using your tactical unjammable AK-47 you dispatch enemy after enemy. You tactically reload your AK-47 and enter into close quarters battle and your katana. You slice through the enemies until hail of gunfire smashes into your vest. Luckily you were wearing you AR-500 steel body armor and Cryetech carrier you learned about on gear queer threads.

Your fine motor skills have fizzled, you are under too much pressure. Even am OPERATOR of your caliber who has watched every NutnFancy tactical video can't handle this much adrenaline. You draw your Beretta 92 and rack the slide, but you accidentally engage the slide mounted safety by gripping the whole slide in your fat autistic fingers instead of pulling the slide like a normal person. The gun doesn't fire because you engaged the safety like an alcohol fetal syndrome baby. The hail of gunfire cuts you down. The world will end, you have failed.

TL;DR: If you grab the Beretta like a monkey grabbing a fat shit you can accidentally engage the slide mounted safety while racking the slide. Since /k/ is literally delusional this meme lives on and is what makes the Beretta 92 a terrible gun.

anyone else have a problem justifying a new purchase? Im stingy and also liked to keep it simple. I have
>mossenburg shotgun for my shotgun needs
>AR because I wanted it
>glock 19 for my striker fired/ most often ccw
>sig p229 for my DA/SA occasional ccw
>model 10 revolver because I wanted a revolver
>1911 coming in this month as my range toy

thats it. Theres dozens of HKs, Berettas, Smith and wessons and so on that I want, but I always back out of it because I dont feel Id use them that often considering my basic collection
>>
>>31374424
Whenever I get something it has to be pretty different
I've got a 20" AR, a 12.5" ar, a P99C in 9mm, and a chiappa little badger and an 870 (which I'll be selling soon)

So I've got a long rifle, short rifle, small pistol, and a .22
The only things I see as voids is a full size pistol, SBRing the short AR, and getting a different shotgun I like more at some point.
Maybe a battle raifu?
