I vote P-01 since it's compact enough to get a taste of concealed carry with. Go to a shop that carries them and handle/rent both of them. You can't go wrong here.

Go to a gun store and actually hold a bunch of different ones. The beretta has a really big grip in comparison to any other 9mm. That can be a problem if you have manlet hands.

P-0anything is the tactical version of the CZ-75(insert variant here).
They usually include a rail and some also have a threaded barrel.
Also I seem to recall that they're ambidextrous.
Oh, also, the 85 is just a bog standard 75 except it's ambidextrous.

You really can't go wrong with a CZ-75 or variant OP.
Honestly even if you want a carry pistol you ought to consider the CZ-82.
Good capacity, built like a tank, small, good trigger, and it's still 9x18 Makarov instead of shitty little .380 (though you can find them in that too.)

They also use polygonal rifling and shit.

personally i dont like how small the ejection ports are on czs. and i find that the frame safety kind of gets in the way of my grip; i usually end up resting my thumb on top of it (maybe thats how it's supposed to work, idk). other than that, no real complaints. the beavertail on the sp01 shadow is p comfy.

i like how the beretta has a big handle. cz and glock handles tend to run a little thin for me. i also find the slide release lever is in a perfect spot

CZ 75s are based on the browning action and are usually steel guns, whereas the p-00 series is polymer and uses a simplified glock style action. Both are reliable, but the reputation of the pistol was based on the 75 series.

The best CZ to get would probably be an SP-01 phantom, because it's lightweight and full size, and it can take the best magazine availability, which is important for CZs. They're discontinued, but they pop up online all the time and you can get them for 500-600.
