They're selling for $15k, completely overhauled.

Why haven't you bought YOUR OT-64 yet?
>>
>>31344105
Because finding replacement tires, bearings, etc sounds like a nightmarish experience.

An expensive nightmarish experience.
>>
Is it even street legal in the US?
>>
>>31344129
Shit, what kind of special-snowflake unobtanium slavic lightbulbs do the interior and exterior lights take?
>>
>>31344134
Would need a turn signal, and probably require some special multi-axle license depending on the state.
>>
>>31344129
If you look at the mortar investments, site, they actually sell parts too.
>>
>>31344134
Yup

Go to the site in this post.
>>31344159
They do all the electrical work.

Shipping would be a bitch though.

Because a BRDM 2 is a much better choice.
>>
>>31344105
If I could have any military vehicle in the world it'd be a CV90.

Maybe when I'm rich I'll buy a BTR as a ranch vehicle.
>>
>>31344134
Trick question, who the fuck could stop you?
>>
I'm still waiting for the $4000 OT-810's to go on sale again

It's like you don't even want to clear 2 meter trenches.

Because Ferret-chan is the same price with more plentiful spares. Much cuter, too.

>>31344170
>Shipping would be a bitch though.
I did the math a little while ago and I found that shipping an APC across the Atlantic would cost about $5,000 - $7,000, which isn't terrible.

>>31344296
nigga, the BRDM-2 has deployable belly wheels designed exactly for that purpose
>>
>>31344105
I'm buying a T-72 not a polish shit wagon.
>>
>>31344214
This, senpai
BRDM is life
>>

>>
>>31345489
The OT-64 is still sexier. I've loved it since seeing it in the Soviet vehicle guide from Twilight2000 way back when.
>>
>>31344214
Seriously. If I am paying 25k to get it, get it overhauled, and get it shipped I want it to be a boat as well.
>>
>>31344105
my dream if I ever get rich is to buy some Slav shit apc and use it as a mobile bar
>>
>>31345489
I have nothing against the ferret, in fact I really like it, but that bitch is small. Like small enough to work as a commuter car small. If I am getting an armored vehicle I at least want it to be big enough to be comfy if SHTF.
>>
>>31345828
Agreed. It's the "i wanted to be an apache pilot but I couldn't" of armored vehicles.
>>
>>31345691
I never understood the appeal of the OT-64, it looks like the result of someone drawing a BTR-60 from memory (poorly)

>Like small enough to work as a commuter car small.
that's the appeal of it fampai, it makes menial tasks more entertaining. Imagine delivering pizzas in that bitch

I prefer tracked vehicles. I drove a ferret and alvis 6x6 many years ago. They were really boring after trying a chieftain and fv432.
>>
>>31344105
I've literally started a savings account for this shit.

Could you just imagine going innawoods and camping in it? It's so roomy too.

>Could you just imagine going innawoods and camping in it? It's so roomy too.
Imagine it breaking down because its a soviet piece of trash
>>
>>31347480
It's like a BTR but better.
Troops can dismount from the rear and it has a disel engine instead of TWO gasoline engines.
>>
>>31348872
>OT-64
>Soviet
But that is wrong.
>>
>>31344105
Because i want a BDRM 2 and name it Pepe
>>
>>31345489

Fuck. Now I want a Ferret.

Seems like a bit of a hassle to make one road legal, though, since I'm no ruralfag.

Why wouldn't you just build your own tank? Probably way cheaper, considering as you're going to end up ripping out and replacing everything as you go anyway on such a cheap model.
>>
>>31344143
if you buy that thing for so little money just fucking change the sockets
Its a tank you won't get spare parts that easily work around it

Are those washer/bolt heads on the panels just individual panel fasteners? Is there anything special about them?

I see them on various LAV's but not exactly sure what their function is. I presume they are each a bolt with a large washer or some kinda fastener to replace individual panels in the event of damage
>>
>>31344129
Not really desu, it's basically an armored Tatra 815, which is commercially available and widespread.
>>
>>31350812
Because at $15k, it's already overhauled and working. And any tank I could build would either be inexpensive and ghetto as fuck, or (more likely) expensive as fuck cause I would want it to be perfect.
