Well I wasnt expecting to buy a surefire.

That like asking for a cheap shit car and pointing to a ferrari as an example.
>What's a good cheap airplane under $1000? It needs to function and be reliable. kthx

Flashaholic here. There is none.
>Good
>Gun light
>$50
Pick 2, and btw you are barely getting to pick good and $50 anyways. Gun light triples the price because it has to be way more sturdy. Mounts cost more.

Streamlight polytac.

Streamlight Protac 1L or 2L is as good as it's gonna get. Frank Proctor uses them extensively and they're pretty durable.

Solarforce makes good lights for not absurd prices, and their lumen ratings are legit unlike most other nipchong stuff. Since Surefire started enforcing MAP I have bought from Solarforce and Nitecore and been completely happy.
Look at http://www.solarforceflashlight-sales.com/products/solarforce-t1-u2-xm-l-led-pen-size-flashlight-cr123a-x-2-pc-or-18650-x-1-pc
you'd need to find a mount though.
